2017 Gaming goals and resolutions

I will definitely keep you updated, either on this thread or another. I've never done anything like this before, so it will be interesting.

Which version were you playing, Markies? TSB on NES is probably my favorite sports game of all time.

Yep, I am playing the Genesis version. I was going to do the NES version, but I am being a chicken. The NES version is much harder compared to the Genesis. S.F. & Buffalo are way more over powered in that version and the rubber band is very unforgiving. So, I figured I'd do the easier version first and then move up to the other version.

The NES version is so completely unfair that I did an entire SEASON where I went undefeated and won the Super Bowl where I played as San Francisco and did only like 90 yard bombs from Montana to Rice. Granted, my defensive skills are insane, but that was my only offensive move and I still won the game.

I also recently discovered that the SNES version is unique. It has different cut scenes and plays slightly different compared the Genesis version, so I'm thinking of picking that up as well.

Tecmo Super Bowl was one of my childhood games, so I know WAY too much about it.

First quarter update! (well little over a quarter but w/e). I changed my list slightly to make it easier if I need to change any games, and apparently I moved some games off it but I don't remember what I changed (and I'm not going to bother finding the old list cause I'm tired)

Anyway the new goal list! Basically the first category is 6th gen or older, or 2005 and older if it's on PC (exception on the list is Persona 3 Portable since that was on PS2 first). Second category is anything newer than that.

Get a Switch but not looking too likely for this year at least. In the meantime will get the games for it once in a while. Have a library when I do have one.

- FFVII - completed.
- Finish Kings Quest Series - KQ7 installed, 8 is bought.
- Finish Steel Battalion - xbox is still in storage
- Finish Arcade TV stand and digital Pinball Machine - First run TV stand built, redesiging for second. Planning on making it with drawers so I can store the bulk of the collection in it. Ordered a CP holder for the built stand last night. Going to convert the Astro to a 2l12b setup for MVC3 and and make the first TV stand a 2l6b for verts.

KQ7 is going strong, should finish it this month.

TV stand is in question. While the wife and I liked the first one, the CP holder was lost in the mail. So now we are faced with a dilemma of what to do with the TV stands. CP holders are not rare, but they are uncommon enough that there hasnt been another on Ebay in the last month.

The main goal I have for 2017 is to get under 100 Unfinished Games. I am currently at 101, so I don't think it will be that hard. However, the hard part will be staying under 100 from now on. It would be so easy to just buy a few more and completely ruin it.

General Goal: Get Under 100 Unfinished Games Beat on 01-19-17

And just because, let's add some specific goals for each console:

2. GEN = Beat a Season as Coach in Tecmo Super Bowl
3. SNES = Beat Final Fantasy V
4. N64 = Beat Conker's Bad Fur Day Beat on 03-22-17

6. PS1 = Buy A New Game Bought on 03-21-17
7. PS2 = Beat Xenosaga Beat on 05-09-17
8. GCN = Beat Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
9. XBOX = Complete Crimson Skies Completed on 01-25-17

I forgot that I accomplished another goals recently. Now, some updates on the ones I still need to do.

Genesis - I am planning on doing this in July/August for my yearly Marathon game.

Super Nintendo - I have my 4 Jobs and am in the second world.

DreamCast - Sonic Adventure is up next. After I beat that, then I will start playing it. I'm still hoping for sometime this summer.

GameCube - I have started, but I have only beaten one real dungeon. It is really, really good though!

Persona 3 Portable done! That's one of the longer games on my list so it's good to get it out of the way. Next, I think I'll go ahead with 999 as planned since it's shorter and I can still play it while I'm setting up my new game room.
