Episode 3 complete. Again the last area was a regular level but with more of those Vores hanging around.
1 more to go!

I've been playing a bit more of The Reckoning which is full of cheap tricks that make it unduly tough.

I spent an hour last night messing around with Quake 4 mods. I should probably continue actually playing the game tho.

Gah! I think I'm going to have to temporarily move Quake into my list of Games Not Beaten. It's brilliant and all, but after returning from my trip I've just been in a whole different head space gaming wise. I'll definitely circle back around to it, but in terms of gaming I'm not generally inclined to force myself to continue on out of some perceived sense of obligation, especially when I'm not fully vested in the experience (then I would call it 'work' instead of 'leisure').

Finished up Episode 3 earlier today. Probably my favorite so far. Hot lava action and what seemed to be less of a reliance on brown texturing. Was this the game that ushered in the "brown FPS" trend? Level design is great though.

Almost finished with Episode 4.
Taking a break to take in the amazing sky graphic here. Console takes up half of it but you get the idea.

No, as the other FPS's that came out afterwards had a lot more textures going on. Unreal, Half Life, and the like had a variety of environments.
