Yeah. Check out the article that was posted earlier in the thread.
Most games did not allow for you to freely save your games. The RetroN 5 will allow you to save their games at any point during gameplay, and will feature an autosave feature upon shutdown. You will be able to load your saves at anytime during gameplay.

Reasons I'm buying one:
1. HDMI - This is the biggest reason, as it's a pain to hook up all these consoles to my HDTV.
2. Space - I have bookshelf full of games/consoles, but very limited space in my entertainment center. I can only fit 3 consoles at a time.
3. Saves - With a kid, I often have to stop what I'm doing. It would be nice to be able to save old games that didn't support it originally.
4. GBA - I don't have the pleasure of owning a GameBoy player for the Gamecube. I've often wanted to play GBA games on the TV, or even record them.

Yeah. Save states. Why can't they just say "it supports save states?"

Its supposed to be releasing July/August time, but they still havent announced anything
They were talking about an August release date at E3, but like muhanad stated, they haven't said much since then. I'm going to take a guess that we'll hear more within the next couple weeks and get a solid release date for Late August/Early Fall.

Are you gonna wait for reviews or pre-order?

Personally, I was going to nab it as soon as it's released. I was thinking about waiting for reviews, but with the price point being under $100 I think I'll go ahead and grab it. There's enough good talk from E3 to convince me to get it, and with the ability to update the software I have little concern.

Fastbilly and I are working on having reviews and other info on the main site at or ahead of release for the console. At the very least, I've got a tentative "yes" from the devs to do the podcast during the launch window and will ask them remaining/lingering questions at that time.

All I can say is that there will be alot of stress testing if I get one. Like can it handle Battletoads and Shantae, aswell as homebrews like Battlekid and Starfox 2. Well that and measurements. I have a new set of calipers just waiting.
