I didn't have a problem with this one or the Arkham Asylum one(thumbs up for nurse outfit). Every artist brings their own interpretation to the character and if this is a reboot than I don't expect her to look the same. I'm fine with the skimpiness of it too. This is Harley, she's never been above using her sex appealAppleQueso wrote:
This is supposed to be the new Harley Quinn...
...and I thought the Arkham City redesign looked bad, this doesn't even remotely resemble her.

I think this is more "Duela Dent" Harley than Harleen Quinzel.

Angel & Faith #1 comes out this week for any Whedonites on this board. There's a neat preview featuring a Giles flashback. His backstory is a key part of the series

Re: The Comic Book Thread
I'm nervous about the DC relaunch, primarily because of Superboy.
I'm afraid to see how much they're going to change this character that I've loved for nearly 20 years.
I get the feeling they're going to go the moody teenager route, with a hefty dose of dark, brooding, "why do I exist?" bullshit.
Call me paranoid, but I can't help it.

Re: The Comic Book Thread
I got a sneak peek at JL #1 and have to say it was fun with a lot of action and banter.
Not much plot... but the interaction between Hal and Batman was perfect. They may be meeting for the first time and are rebooted characters but Batman is still Batman and he treats Hal just like he used to pre and immediately-post Parallax days.
The only other members of the league I noticed was Cyborg and one panel with Superman. Like I said I only got to peek and didn't read it cover to cover, but I was impressed and am looking forward to a proper reading.

I've been rather indifferent to the reboot (since for one, let's be honest, I've only been really getting into western comics the past year or so).
I might check out Action Comics. What Morrison is planning to do with Superman sounds interesting.

JLA had a perfectly good reboot 10 years ago...

The entire DC Universe is being rebooted. JL is a big deal because it's the first book to be released in this new DC Universe.elmagicochrisg wrote:Why?...SpaceBooger wrote:I got a sneak peek at JL #1 and have to say it was fun with a lot of action and banter.

Most people I've talked to think this reboot is completely pointless. It's just DC trying to revitalize sales, nothing more.
'course that doesn't mean that we won't see some good comics come out of it, but that doesn't change the fact that the reboot itself is a kinda dumb idea.
