Who wants to spend the whole summer inside? Especially after your first year of college?
I have two kids (one and two years old) so evenings I was stuck at home. I worked outside mountain biking and teaching water-skiing. So it was the best of both worlds for me.

How did you work mountain biking? Wish I could pull that off. I've got two kids myself(2 and 4) and can't find the time to hit the trails.

Its a summer "Adventure" camp run by the parks and rec (where I have worked since '91 now summers only) where we take city kids and teach them to water-ski, we take them mountain-biking progressing from flat trail to more advanced, and we teach them how to kayak.
Its not a bad gig for the summer.

I didn't stick to my list either. Instead I beat SOTN, Metroid Zero Mission, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, and Bionic Commando Rearmed.
So it wasn't a bad summer and even though I didn't stick to my list, I did have a theme.
All AWESOME games. Sounds like you had a good summer as far as gaming goes! :) I recommend playing through the handheld Castlevania games as well if you are still in the mood for that kind of stuff.

I did not. I actually found that I didn't like most of the ones I had been putting off (Ico, SOTN, Oddworld, Nights, etc.). It kinda lowered my incentive to play others...
this same thing happened to me :(
