Sony removing OtherOS feature in 3.21 PS3 update

I tried that, but I didn't want to downgrade my .NET installation to 1.1 from 4.0. I just ended up using the DNS trick; entering one manually, that is.

I think it's a temporary downgrade. You would install 1.1 and then 3.x, 4.x of .NET.

Ive decided that im not going to buy anymore new PS3, or PS2 games. Sony can take there "move" and shove it up there ass. I wont buy anymore sony gear of any kind. No headphones/tv's, etc etc. Plenty of other brands out there. Samsung really makes some good stuff.

I'd honestly think you'd be hurting the publishers more than Sony by refusing to buy new PS3 games. As far as I know, Sony gets the licensing money up front - so whether you buy new or used, Sony's still getting paid.

The publishers wouldn't decide to develop for Sony platforms at all if no one would buy the games, so it would still hurt Sony to boycott them. Anyone who wants to stand up for what's right and boycott Sony over this should be encouraged to do so.

Seriously though, Sony shouldn't have been a colossal ass during this generation. They have made bad decision after bad decision. Constantly removing features from their system and claiming how it's "for the good of the customers!!" and the Sony fanboy retards eat it up. Well, my son followed Sony to continue his Warfare 2 online fix. Down-dated his PS3, lost other OS option and no difference of online play. Seems like bait and switch to me. The masses will blindly follow, just like the iPod to iPhone to iPad hypnotized zombies. Advertised new features, cough up more money, hey wait, its basically the same stuff! Instead of taking more money from consumer, an operating system was removed!

Samsung is the brand I buy. There stuff is great except for BR players. They make the best TVs out there and they made awesome DVD players.

I like how you guys are surprised at this, the PS3 slim didn't have the feature, that was when I knew they were going to remove the feature on the fats. Sony has every right to refuse online play through their servers, not to mention, Xlink Kai covers the PS3, if the community that didn't want to downgrade moved there, the online play would be a more intelligent version of PSN. Don't fret, and boycotting sony is stupid, boycotting companies is stupid, We need to keep supporting these companies so they produce hardware, unless you want only game development for PC, but even then, there will be an unhappy crowd. The best way is to let Modders work their magic, and this will blow over.
