That battery is the same type my bootleg copy of Aria of Sorrow had.
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y180/t ... DC0634.jpgcompared to the innards of a legit copy
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y180/t ... 101655.jpgSeeing fake copies with the same inner structure just made me laugh. Also, sometimes you can't tell in a gamestop. I now look for the nintendo label on the bottom of the board when I get games there, but ideally I'd like to google search the code in-store and open that bastard up right there to check the battery. For obvious reasons that wouldn't work.

Purkeynator wrote:Nice post about the original Gameboy launch titles. I have the Nintendo Power issue that reveals the original Gameboy with those titles. If you have any interest in me sending scans of it so you can write about it, let me know and I can email them over. Good article.
Oh, and another idea for an article. How about one on storing and displaying your Gameboy game collection. I have a rather ingenious way that I use that I would be happy to share.
I'd love this. And in fact, I encourage anybody who finds random GB related stuff to send them to my attention!

So spill the beans, how do you store them? A pic?

Nice custom shelf! I was thinking about individual carts that maybe
Purkeynator offered a tease in?
For my open N64 carts I used space saving laminated flooring material cut to width of cart, the height cut to slightly larger then height of cart stored contacts down. As in your boxed GB games, N64 carts are stored alphabetized bookshelf style, so games don't have to be digged thru to find a particular one.
Curious of open GB cart shelf approach, the same way or maybe another storage solution?

ooooooooh I missed that you were asking him about his "ingenious" approach, which I'm also curious about. I'm quickly running out of shelf space. I think soon the games will have to be stacked on the shelves rather than just spined.

I will send over a couple pics to noiseredux as soon as I have his email. I will say this, it works for Gameboy and Gameboy Advance, has rows and rows of shelves, and a glass door to keep the dust out. I believe I spent only about $10 for it....
