District 9. It started out well but it got bleh~ half way.
I tried to watch Paranormal Activity on Sunday night, but from all the hype I heard about this movie, I was too scared to watch over 5 minutes

The Shinjuku Incident. Jackie Chan returns to serious roles, no gag reels in this one folks!
How'd you get a copy? Netflix doesn't have it currently and I haven't been able to find one locally.
I watched it in H.264 format on Youtube actually!

I personally hate the Underworld films. I didn't see RotL cuz I hated the first two. For the most part, they're just boring underneath all that cool-looking shit.

But you liked Xanadu?

I'm just giving you a hard time, but seriously, what did you find to like in that movie? Disco kitsch kept me somewhat entertained for maybe twenty minutes, but then the movie had another two hours to go. IMDB says the whole film is only 93 minutes, but I simply can't believe it. I found roller-disco infinitely more boring than style-over-substance vampire action.

Yeah, I agree about them being boring. I didn't enjoy the first, and beyond a nifty werewolf design, I thought the second was garbage. Dog Soldiers was a much better werewolf film, and as for vampires...blah, these days.

Wow, I haven't seen Dog Soldiers in years. I was expecting it to be complete garbage, since I had heard bad things about it, but it ended up being awesome!

Yeah. I'm wondering how it compares to the Howling films. I've heard the series has an odd mix of good and bad films, though I'm curious to hear from folks who have seen it.

I actually kind of agree. It is easy to get caught up in the action, but when you actually look at the story underneath you realize it is not very solid or creative. Plenty of plot holes also. Still, I don't mind them and think they are just a fun film to watch for certain aspects, but I would never own them or pay to see them.

Def agree with you about Vampires. Enough already. I liked the werewolves in the Underworld films. The vampires are super boring and represent, to me, everything that has gone wrong with the genre. The aspects I was speaking of before that I liked are in regards to the werewolves.
