Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Some Super Famicom games are insanely cheap. I got Legend of Heroes II and Dragon Knight 4 for $1.50 each. And those are RPGs!
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
Fair enough argument if you can get 5 good cartridge games for $100 and that would break down to 3 for $60. How many games today released at $60 will (A) get you the amount of play time out of the three solid old games you found and (B) which do you think will retain it's value 3-6months later.
As much as the pricing is getting worse, I think it's a safe enough argument to make the above and also that in 20 years from now, good luck finding that many wanting to collect PS3 or PS4 games like they do old carts. The systems are far less reliable and most games are released with a light to moderate amount of bugs, some which are fairly serious too and there won't be any servers online to patch that crap.

Gosh now, all this talk about the SNES -- I'll be looking for these games in the near future:
Sonic Blast Man
Super Smash TV
both are still under $20, for now.

So I figured out how to do SNES without the prices:

Seriously, if you're into emulating it at all, this thing is a heck of a pad.

The one that came out in 2008. I went for ones listed as 'fully playable' or 'finished' where possible.

God, was the finished one released in 2008? Now I feel old.

Think of how old the Final Fantasy V patch is. There were still Super Famicom games in production when that was released.

Got three more reproductions on the way, Fire Emblem Mystery of the Emblem, Dragon Quest 1+2 and Bahamut Lagoon. Now I just need Dragon Quest 3 and Legend of Zelda Paralleled Worlds Remodel

I will be picking one of those up very soon. Amazon's got them at a good price. Plus it's useful for more than just SNES games.

I picked these 5 up the other day for a combined total of under £25, but they're very text heavy. I'm translation patching them on my Retron5:
Fire Emblem: Monsho no Nazo
Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu
Live a Live
Final Fantasy V
Wonder Project J
That reminds me, I need to get off my butt and find a legitimate copy of Front Mission: Gun Hazard (I have a translated repro but why not have the real thing with the Retron 5). I'll have to look in to some other translated SF games.
There's the original Front Mission as well but the DS version is already kind of the definitive edition so, meh.
