I've been playing Nun Attack and Hotline Miami on the Vita, with intermittent sessions of Shinovi Versus(I want that Platinum damnit!). Nun Attack is fun. I'm on the second to last chapter. Hotline is as awesome as it was when I played it on PC, except now it doesn't crash on me constantly. I've A+ ranked the first six levels already, feeling like a boss.

I really want to play Deadpool, but Gamefly continues to show it as low availability. Oh well. I'm tempted to buy the damn thing, but I'm on a budget right now

I'm dabbling a little in Resident Evil 6 today. I'm just curious to see how much of a train wreck it really is. I'm not planning on finishing it, unless it actually surprises me and turns out to be more fun than all the negative hype would lead me to believe. I'm not expecting much, as Revelations didn't blow me away and that's supposed to be the good RE game

I'm also trying out Fist Puncher on PC and playing Mark of the Ninja again on Steam. May try out Project X Zone too as I think I'm finally getting worn out on Fire Emblem Awakening.

As seems to always be the case lately, I'm bouncing back and forth between multiple games and just seeing what sticks.

Only played the demo, but only judging with that Revelations is a improvement over RE 5.

The game is very good or at least Leons story is, what made the game bad was it tried appeal to alot of genre's(action/fps/horror/survival) and didn't do any particular one well. except leons story of course that one wasn't too bad.

Even Leon's was bad. It felt too action-y, rather than Survival Horror. And you practically couldn't die, as long as you remembered where the "kick-off" button was.

50% of it is, but the other half of the game is basically RE 5 all over again. The demo gives you a taste of Jill's chapters, most of which aren't bad (there are a few crap parts though). The parts when you don't play as her kind of suck. I hear RE 6 get criticized by people for trying to appeal to everyone. Revelations kind of does the same thing. The non Jill parts of the game play like a half assed third person shooter like RE 5. Jill's chapters play like a cross between RE 4 and old school RE, though it never really matches the quality of either. Still, her chapters have a few inspired moments, like a section where you have to avoid enemies since you have no weapons, and some surprisingly decent water levels.

I feel like with modern RE games you have to take the good with the bad. How much tolerance you have for the bad dictates how you feel about each game. Revelations had a few things I liked, but they were largely overwhelmed by the things I hated. I ranted about those things in the Games Beaten thread. It may be a bit better on console (I played the 3DS version). I've seen a few youtube vids of the HD release where the game seems slightly more polished. For one thing, having an actual crosshairs instead of a small red dot probably makes the game considerably easier.

We'll see how I feel about RE 6.

Played a little of Leon's campaign, nothing too terrible so far. The prelude was actually pretty bad ass, but it was definitely very action movie-like and Christ did it have a lot of QTEs. The little bit of the first chapter I've played captures some of the old school, creepy RE feel...until the zombies show up and I'm punching, kicking and body slamming them

Jesus, I never thought I'd see the day that I'd be playing Resident Evil the beat 'em up, but they've made it pretty damn easy to melee the fuck out of those zombies in RE 6. Leon even has slide attacks and counters! This is crazy! Someone got Devil May Cry in my Resident Evil

It's kind of fun actually, despite being a further bastardization of the series. At this point, it's pretty clear RE doesn't know what it is, having the same identity crisis that Castlevania and Final Fantasy are going through

I'm sure I'll have plenty to rant about as I play more, but so far it's alright. The game is definitely spitting in the face of RE tradition in more ways than one, but it's been reasonably fun so far.

Playing Torchlight II as an engineer. I tend to like summoning minions in dungeon crawlers, so his robotic ally upgrades were appealing to me. It's been a very fun game so far.

Kind of annoyed that some RE6 content is exclusive to that whole RE.net thing, but I have to admit, it's all very well implement and registration is free, so that's cool. I think there is a badge for having a web buddy, so if anyone on here is interested in adding me as a friend on that site.
