What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Run out and rent or buy MOONRISE KINGDOM. It is one of his best.

I had Moonrise Kingdom in my hand and could of got it as part of a 2 for ten pounds offer but put it back as my friend said it was maybe a bit twee. But I will probably get it now anyway, so that's two quid I could have saved.

OMG dude, that's one of those scenes that I can NEVER watch without it getting to me!
Yeah, Stiller really sells it and there isn't a close up on him or anything, he just comes out a states it which makes it so much more effective and poignant in the following scene.

General question, how is Bottle Rocket, by the way?

Heard mixed things but it was good. Interesting characters and the claustrophobia and tension everyone was going through felt real (I mean, the acting was pretty bad, but I thought the vibe delivered through the filming and setting was good). I think it's the "weakest" of the three, but I did like it a good bit and would recommend it to others. Just not quite as memorable as Night of the Living Dead or Dawn of the Dead. The zombies looked the best here though, but I guess that's expected given that it's the most recent film.

I also found myself more on the side of the military guys than the scientists. I don't know if it was intentional or not but the film makes it seem like the scientists in general are the good guys and the military guys are assholes. But nothing the scientists were doing made any sense to me and I thought the military captain had every right to act like he was.

One thing kind of bothered me though and I still don't understand.
Why the hell would the guy at the end unleash the zombies on the bunker like that? Is it really just as simple as "he went crazy"? That character was just weird in general. I could understand him just wanting to kill himself, but he went out of his way to kill everyone else. And yeah, I just don't understand that part at all.
CHOKE ON EM!!!
I love this movie so much. Easily the best make-up of the trilogy. And the most intense feeling, IMO.

The clown zombie and alligator zombie in that same intro scene are pretty cool, too.

Those movies are a lot better (which isn't saying much since Robot Monster is so bad...but seriously, they are both good.) I hope you enjoy them.
You guys do really that Robot Monster is considered one of the worst films ever made, right?

Just my opinion on the spoiler:
Miguel knows the soldiers will rape and kill Sarah, and kill the engineer and pilot as soon as they are not needed, so the chaos unleashed by his letting the zombies overrun the complex is the trio's best chance to escape.

*nods*... I could buy that. Certainly not what I would have done but I guess that does make sense.

I just realized the "Month of Horror PART IV: dsheinem vs. noiseredux" thread is where everyone is talking about horror movies... glad I just now realized this now that the month is about up. I thought it was horror game related.

Nah, it was just because he was bat-shit-crazy. He was at the beginning of the movie, too. And he was pissed at Sarah.
