Your right on all accounts but are you seriously going to tell me that all this media attention doesn't have to do with the fact that these folks are satanists?

Wrong. Satanists are atheists.

Read "WHY DO SATANISTS WORSHIP THE DEVIL?".
Ok, so I suppose these Satanists claim to be atheists, but I disagree with their claim that
"People who believe in some Devilish supernatural being and worship him are Devil-worshippers, not Satanists. Anton LaVey was the first to define Satanism as a philosophy, and it is an atheist perspective. “Theistic Satanism” is an oxymoronic term and thus absurd."
While LaVey may have claimed it as a philosophy and not a religion, there were centuries of people prior to him and many people in the years since who self-identify as Satanists and who do engage in practices considered "worship" of some "evil deity".

Nope. I have a friend that is a Satanist and I frequently inquire about his belief. Although I have done research on here too.

When I scan a forum post and I see they put a "TL;DR" section, I just don't read any of the post at all. I figure that if their post can be fully explained in a sentence or two, despite supposedly being worth the time to type up several paragraphs directly above, then it's probably not worth reading at all.

Those people wouldn't be accepted by the Church of Satan as satanists in modern day which is what were talking about.

The "Church of Satan" isn't inclusive of all people who identify as satanists.
