Sorry to hear about what happened CFFJR. I've known a few people who ran into the same situation, and it's always a hard thing to deal with.

Holy shit, dude. I'm so sorry to hear that CFFJR. Listen to Luke, he's right, exercise will really help.

CFFJR, you're a better man than I am, because knowing myself, I probably would have killed them.

Just do whatever you can to get the stress off man. I know the last time I really broke I spent hours listening to death metal and exercising until I literally passed out. (I wouldn't suggest that, as my anger gets to extremes, but I guess going with the exercise suggestion everybody else has given.)

And, I would suggest staying away from Country music for a while.

Smile: My Mother made a few more baby caps for another friend of mine. When he told me the baby was due in December I asked "What, and how many do you want?". He loved the picture of the Minion cap, so I told him "No problem. I'll have it out way before then".

He then sent me a message stating "I was thinking, in return would you like me to draw a sketch for you? Just tell me what you would like".

I'm not going to give the guys name away, but avid comic book readers would recognize his name immediately. I have no idea what I want sketched (A framed sketch of my house inside my house would be silly, no?) but I'm pretty excited as he does incredible work. Can't wait to share the sketch once I figure out what the hell it is I want.

Bonus smile: I bought a button up shirt for a friend who I just visited. He first look confused and asked in a joking manner "You hittin' on me man?", but he actually tried it on and faux modeled it for me. You had to be there.

But he loved the shirt and he gave me all I needed; a "Thanks Duder".

Shirt looked pretty damned good on him too. He's been single for a while now, and once I get back from Chicago, and then back from Asheville NC, I'm going to take him out to a few bars and play wingman.

There won't be any routine*, but I'm pretty sure I can get his boots to knocking again.

*Although I could use the "Oh my hand? I lost it in a house fire, and if it wasn't for that Man sitting over there, I would have lost my life"

So sorry to hear about all this, CFFJR. I can't even imagine what you're going through. I really suck at giving advise, but I think others have verbalized things better than I could anyway. Feel free to come here and vent all you want.

One thing I will say is, as for the exercise, perhaps you could consider a sturdy punching bag? That way you can beat the crap out of something without committing a felony (Of course, I've always hated running, so that might be part of the reasoning behind that thought process.)

Or you could always simply pick up shadow boxing. It's great exercise and it will wear you out in a quick fast. A $2.00usd clamp light and a wall will do.

I'll also give CCFJR $1000.00usd if he shows video proof that he knocked out his own shadow.

hey CFFjr!

you finally got me to post here! I've always read this thread and never posted in it.

My brother went through a divorce last year and I see alot of what happened with what happened to him.

You are so damned lucky that you didnt have kids. Court battles over alimony/childsupport suck! You would still have to meet up with her in some form or another when you have kids.

My brother is not so lucky. He has to pay her alimony for at least two years and still pay for two kids child support for the next 15 years at least.

It may hurt for a while but you will find someone better.

One final piece of vengance that may come your way is this:

She'll one day, after going out with others realize that it was just a fling and a waste of time being with other people. She'll want to come back to you. She will want to do everything to get back with you.

Its then up to you if you really want her back in your life.

Its easy to fall back in though. You both lived with each other for a few years and that comfort/habit is still there. She expects that too. She thinks you'll fall right back into the relationship. Her being the one at fault, may wait for you as long as it meets her ends.

Do you still want her back? Think really hard and make sure what you want to do next.

@CFFJR: Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better, and (yet again) Luke is totally right. These feelings come in waves, some bigger than others. They can be triggered by events (songs, movies, etc) or can be completely random. Life seems to deal these sorts of situations a lot. No matter what the situation is, losing some one you love is a terrible experience. You seem like a good guy, and I'll agree that you deserve better. I hope things get better for you.

:( Randomly got sick today. I feel absolutely terrible, but can't miss anymore work. I can't even count how many times I've gotten sick since I started working here. This place seems to be built to make everybody get sick. Plus, this sick policy seems to encourage people to come in and spread the germs around like I'm doing right now.

:D First successful molt! As I was leaving for work, I noticed that my Ghosty was shedding his old exoskeleton. I was nervous because he wasn't in the best position, but Kit kept me updated with texts and pictures. He turned around and grabbed a nearby leaf and is now relaxing.

:( aaaand it starts. I've just been put on an "improvement plan". I doubt they'll fire me before the contract is up, but afterwards... I'm really bummed out, worried, stressed, terrified now. I have nothing to fall back on if I lose this job. Nowhere to go.

Edit:
I'm so freaking down I don't know what to do. It was stupid of me to up and leave all my family behind thinking I could do this on my own. No experience, no schooling, nothing. If I lose this job I have no idea what I'm going to do. Hell, I'm going to lose the job because I have no idea what I'm doing. This barely qualifies as "Linux Administration".
