Mighty Gunvolt is cute but I really enjoyed Azure Striker Gunvolt. It really rewards skillful play.
I think once I saw the colored balls start sliding and dropping my brain shut off from the sheer fucking stupid of it. Seriously, what demographic needs that instead of a progress bar?

I've been meaning to get Azure for a while, was waiting for a sale because I didn't think it was worth $15. Now that Azure 2 is on the horizon, they finally slashed the price to $9.99 and I said alrighty then. I also grabbed Gunman Clive 2 while I was nabbing.

These are not the first eShop games I've bought. I've got something like thirty or so eShop games on my 3DS XL. A few of them are virtual console stuff, but most are just digital exclusives like Crimson Shroud and AA: Dual Destinies.
If you don't have them already, I highly recommend both Hazumi and Rage of the Gladiator for your 3DS. Both are really good, and both are on sale right now. (On sale, buying both of them would only cost you $5.)

Thanks guys, I'll check 'em out. Pretty sure the next eShop game I'm buying is Attack of the Friday Monsters.

I know Stardew Valley is getting a lot of time in the gaming press but I really feel it is the definitive game in that very small sub genre of farming sim /time management/relaxation style games. It balances it's different elements perfectly, has just enough heart whilst not being ridiculously cutesy and doesn't hold your hand or throw you under the bus.

I played the DS one and it's probably the closest thing to Stardew. I should definitely check out the others.

The first RF on DS isn't all that great, kind of a rough draft. The RF series got great with the three I spoilerized. I say give RF3 on DS a go first, it's very polished and well paced.

Yeah, I've played RF and RF4 and it is amazing how much better the mechanics of 4 are. With RF they didn't really do a good job of getting the combat balanced and it's a huge component of the game. Conversely you can actually get away with pretty much automating your farm if you capture enough worker monsters and decide to forgo the livestock monsters.

I've got an ED64v2 kicking around that I might be willing to part with. I want to upgrade to a v3 anyway.
