I say Parasite Eve. The combat system is pretty interesting and I like the characters.
Im gonna go ahead and play P.Eve I got up to the mutated Gator and got owned.
I do like the characters and also the mature vibe,I swear the clown in the dressing room is referring to coke when you bust in on him.Theres also the somewhat Vagrant Story battle system goin on (poly grid).
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Vagrant Story is about 9,999 times more complex, but yeah... the sphere does make me think of Parasite Eve and vice versa, haha.

I still haven't dabbed much into Parasite Eve 2, but they definitely changed up the mechanics a lot in that one. Still seems cool though.

If by changed up the mechanics you mean changed from a Star Ocean style combat system to a full on Resident Evil survival horror, then yes.

Yup, I almost mentioned that. I remember the camera angles were way more like the RE games (PE1 was a lot more zoomed out and looked a little different), and then PE2 had some weird... aiming system I want to say. It generally still sounds pretty good though? I haven't touched it since I never finished the first game, wonder if I could pickup my save on that and continue after some years. lol

I remember the game had amazing music.

PE2 does play like RE, but you actually have quality weapons, so it isn't too bad. Plus, most of the areas are larger than the hallways of RE1, so you can employ some form of dodging if you get used to the tank controls.

I love tank controls and old RE clones, so no big deal for me.

I've never understood why people found tank controls so hard. ACTUAL tank controls (one stick for each tread) are a bitch, but the controls of RE are fine, left to make your character turn left, right to turn right, and forward and back.

Only time tank controls get a little hairy is when things get a little hectic, then my heart starts to race so id say this type of control works well in survival horror.

Recently purchased the PSone Classics releases of Final Fantasy 5 (already have the GBA version) and 6.

I also already have the PSone Classics releases of 7-9.

Kinda pissed that the first three aren't on the PSN in any form. I mean, 1-2 were ported to the PSP, so why can't I get it on PSN?

I'm playing the Secret of Evermore, and I have to say I'm really impressed with the graphics, as well as the compelling story line. Out of the few RPG's I've played, it's definitely my favorite so far.
