Hello everyone.

My name is Kevin and I'm 24 years old and have been visiting the racketboy website for over a year now and have finally decided to join up as a member. I live in the great state of Arkansas. I love retro gaming, modern gaming and collecting. I'm a huge Sega fan so If you love some Sega like I do we will get along just fine lol. I also like to sell, buy and maybe trade items. I understand that you have to wait 14 days before you can post a sell thread. I am trying to follow all the rules on this site the best I can. So please help me out if you can to follow the rules and other things that I might not know yet.

With that I'm glad to be a new member and hope to grow with this community of Retro Gamers and hope to contribute not only the love of anything video games but also be a valuable member to the community in the months and hopefully years to come.

Thank you again and everyone have a great day. :D

After following this site for a while I finally decided to start posting. All my friends think I'm odd for playing and buying old video games, so I need somewhere to talk about this stuff!

I'm a graphic designer/musician in Oklahoma(from Indiana.) And a huge Sega fan.
Need a great VIDEO GAME PODCAST to listen to??

Hi,
My name's Zack, I'm 15. I've been gaming since I was 4, started out playing games like Commander Keen, and Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure. When I was 5, my dad agreed to buy me Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Command & Conquer + the expansion packs (it was a package deal). My mom gave him hell for that  . Red Alert is still one of my favorite games. For Christmas when I was 6, I got a green Gameboy color and Pokemon Gold, Mario Golf, Frogger, and some other games that I can't remember. Much of my gaming years have been spent on Nintendo handhelds; my mom wouldn't let me get a console until about 4 years ago. I was stuck with that gameboy for like 4 years, even after my ignorant and very nice grandmother bought him a brand new gameboy advance. This was a cause of much frustration as I had to borrow his advance whenever I wanted to play Pokemon Ruby. Throughout my years of gaming, I have always gone back and played games I played on PC every once and a while. A couple years ago, I bought another GBC and started playing those old pokemon games again. That's really when I started retro gaming, and this was continued when I started playing Doom on PC. I have owned Doom on PC, GBA, Xbox 360, iTouch, and even calculator :D . Recently, I discovered emulation and played through SMB3 on JNES (save states ftw!). Anyhow, I discovered this forum when looking for good NES games to play through the hidden gems articles. I started listening to the podcast, and then decided it was time to join the forum.
^sorry for the life story lol

What's up!?

We're slowly building up the Racket members in the NY area to compete with the massive Bay Area member list. We can have an east coast west coast battle!

Hello,

The name's Greg, I've been a long-time lurker around this site. I'm proably one of the younger people around, as I'm just 17. I love older game consoles, mainly Nintendo and Sega. I have all of Nintendo's home consoles, as well as a Genesis and Dreamcast. This community seems like a great one, which is why I joined up. None of my friends care about retro games, so this seems like the best place to discuss them.

My gaming tastes lean toward action and arcade-style games, though I will play mostly anything. My favorite game series is the Super Mario Bros. series, and I also enjoy just about any Sega arcade machine I come across. One last little tidbit, my brother and I competed in Nintendo's National Wii Competition last summer, and we took 2nd place in the teenager category.

That sums up my gaming bio. So, I hope to enjoy myself here!
