Nope, he rocketed out of there and was long gone by the time it was all over. I gave the deputy the car's description, but in NC primered up redneck-mobile's are a dime a dozen.

That sucks. Its makes you wonder how people like that get their drivers license in the first place.
Smile: I got a month off collage and its raining!
Ticked: Just played through a heap of Blue Stinger just to get to a save point and find out that their isn't enough space on my VMU
I have to play through that damn intro again, I don't think I can handle the same crappy dialogue twice.

Did you file a claim with your insurer? I don't know what sort of policy you have, but this sort of damage may be covered. (If it is not covered, I would seriously consider switching insurers...) It is worth a call at the very least. Moreover, the repair shop might be able to check on it for you and get reimbursed directly so that you do not have to pay any money out of pocket.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote:Thanks guys!
It wasn't too bad in the end, It's all just turning out to be an expensive headache. I have no way to buy any parts or anything (yay, broke living) so my whole collection is back up for sale.

There's the issue of a deductible. I suspect that he has a $500 deductible or even higher. It's possible that he doesn't even have collision since it's an old car. So it's doubtful that he can file an insurance claim.prfsnl_gmr wrote: Did you file a claim with your insurer? I don't know what sort of policy you have, but this sort of damage may be covered.

I pay $95 a month for Liability and Comprehensive through Nationwide. Since I drive a 1988 Civic my agent put it as plainly as she could when I asked about collision: "If a bird even shits on it in a parking lot we're cutting you a check for $650" (in her own words).
In other words I can report it and risk having my premium go up for something that it doesn't even cover and risk it being turned into a salvage vehicle before they've even inspected the frame properly.
It's all a bitch really. I'd just replaced my bad wheel bearing which was my third to last final mechanical fix (aside from new struts and then tires with my next two paychecks) and was going to a little custom automotive rubber shop a few miles away to get fresh weatherstripping for my door seals. I was almost done fixing the car and making it drive like new then just as that happens this all went down.

I'll shit on your car and we can go halfsies on the check. That said, you'll have to worry about the premium.Mod_Man_Extreme wrote: "If a bird even shits on it in a parking lot we're cutting you a check for $650" (in her own words).

Ticked: The ops shops near my house are absolutely useless. I spent ages travailing around to ones that were around a 20 minute radius of my house. The only things I found was an Atari Joystick (with no Atari) and some pirated PSone games. All this in the rain as well!
Smile: Finally bought an SP today (in a pawn shop) so I can play all my old GB games with a backlit screen and a rechargeable battery. It wasn't that cheap, but in good nick no less.
