Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I'm kind of giddy over something stupid, a possible listing for Battlefield 5 showed up on a German retailer's site (as these things seem to do nowadays), and a bit of information included suggests it might be WW1. That's so kickass to me, even if it isn't true. If we're going to keep doing the war games, we need more looking at wars that don't get games as often.

I would be so down for that if it were true.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I'm kind of giddy over something stupid, a possible listing for Battlefield 5 showed up on a German retailer's site (as these things seem to do nowadays), and a bit of information included suggests it might be WW1. I hope it is. That kind of budget and work on a WW1 game would be interesting to look at and see, if nothing else. Plus, trenches.

I tried out an Oculus Rift while I was in Akihabara today. Way more impressive and immersive than I was expecting. Especially with noise-cancelling headphones, it was like the game world was the only world. I caught myself being tempted to walk for real in order to walk in the game world, since my head movements were tracked in-game. As soon as these things aren't $600 I'm getting one for sure.

Dude, I would preorder the shit out of that game in a heartbeat if it really were to take place during WWI.MrPopo wrote:I would be so down for that if it were true.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I'm kind of giddy over something stupid, a possible listing for Battlefield 5 showed up on a German retailer's site (as these things seem to do nowadays), and a bit of information included suggests it might be WW1. I just bought Ys 1 & 2 (it's currently on sale at GoG for $5). I wonder if BoneSnapDeez is smiling right now.

I beat Wasteland earlier this week and plan on writing about it later tonight. It'll be a mixed bag, but overall positive.

Read-Only Memories deserves to be selling a lot better than it is. Don't you people want a better version of Snatcher?
