Random Gaming Thoughts

Continuously alternating genres and platforms has always kept my desire to game strong.

So how does that work when you're on a kick to finish old games you started but never got around to finishing? (especially since last I checked most of mine are all in the same few genres)

Though I've realized one reason why I never seem to finish mine, I'm always in the middle of a session usually right after work or right after when mom gets home and usually every five minutes(or it feels that way): "hey can you come do this", "what about this?", "you forgot this...". Ugh never a calm moment to focus and when I do have one I can't find the system I would be playing(aka my red gba sp that has pokemon yellow in it. I'm trying to get through it this time since I admittedly though I love pokemon games I've never finished one. I'm sick of not finishing games....

The key to finishing a game, is to not start up another game until you finish the one you're currently playing.

And by finish, I mean you actually beat it, or you sell it after vowing never to play it again.

Even when you're at that point when you're hopelessly stuck near the end? (usually where quite a few games get for me and most don't allow you to go back....I'm half tempted to use a guide for ansem and see where I'm wrong in my equipment I haven't found much even getting lost in the game like I have which caused me to find a lot of stuff and I've even revisited other areas...). That and I need to stop picking all the 20+ hour games out of my library. Geez everytime i pick up a game it's usually one of those....and ugh it's usually one I want to play but 20+ hours? Yuck I need to hltb my games I want to play XD


Edit: Also how in the world has there not been a mario meets mickey or something like that yet? I don't know why but a mickey meets nintendo type game sounds awesome and I don't know why I'm thinking about it, but it would be awesome if it ever happened would it not?

Not exactly hate but I've only made it up to the volcano dungeon so far repeatedly before I get bored or something happens that takes me away from it for awhile, or heck. It may be a great telling sign of where we come from with rpgs today. I just need to find a way to spark my interest in the game again. I would love to complete all of the "classics" or "must plays" in my library this year and add more games to the left of my divider that I consider beat. Heck I even want to replay games like minish cap and golden sun. Both of those are games i consider i made it to the boss and that was good enough for me then. I think I now own a good chunk of classics, must plays and personal must plays on a good chunk of systems I own...

It's been rough, but I'm almost done with Wasteland. I'm at the final base now and am steadily going through it. This'll be the first "C" RPG that I've beaten.
