We had all kinds of left over beer from an early Halloween party, and I don't mind a few PBR's. It's not awful. That said, more than four Blue Ribbons tears my stomach up basket case style.
My wife, a few of our friends, and I did a blind tasting of cheap beers in chilled shot glasses a few years back...and PBR was the consistent winner. It really is a good beer, and it pairs very well with any type of comfort food. That said, you should probably drink it out of a botle or glass. It loses something in the can for some reason...unless, of course, the can is a tall boy accompanied by a burger and fries...
(BTW...Coors Lite and Miller Lite were the consistent losers in our non-scientific blind tasting.)
PBR is what we use to play beer pong with. As far as actually drinking the stuff, I couldn't ever stomach it. I cannot fathom the reason to drink American lagers.

I've done this several times with friends myself. After each shot, have a saltine to cleanse the palette.
Always fun to fill four different shot glasses with the same beer and get different reactions.
