You must have played the PC version....heck you must have PLAYED the game.

This to me was always another case of "reviewers bashing it, everyone's bashing it".

I think you can call WoW a shitty designed game.... a really shitty designed game (designed to addict you, not give you 1000 hours of worthwhile gameplay), but I don't think any of its clones are better than it.

Considering that pretty much every MMORPG made after 2006 has been trying to copy the WoW formula, they must be doing something right. Although if you like oldschool MMORGs like Ultima Online, this clearly isn't a good thing. Even oldschool WoW fans dislike what the WoW formula has become.

Just because something is tasty it doesn't mean it's healthy too. And if a piece of food gives you ZERO nutrients, and just unhealthy stuff you would call that shitty food. Even a burger has a slice of tomato and some greenery.

I wasn't arguing against that, just saying that it works from publisher/developer POV (which rarely is a good thing for gamers who are looking to find new, inventive and intresting gameplay experiences). But then again, MMORPGs before WoW were a lot more hardcore, and many MMO fans who hate WoW largely hate it because it's been made so casual friendly. So I'm not sure if any of the more freeform MMORPGs like EVE or Darkfall are any better on that front. Maybe there's less mechanics that are used only to keep players addicted and playing the game on a regular basis because of the "harshness" of hardcore MMOs. You work hard for a goal and still fail and you don't get any kind of reward for your efforts along the way.

My one belief is very unpopular but I feel classic games should not be remade or sold again on the playstation network, xbox live or VC, I do very much enjoy playing them in their original form but I can't lie I also do love remakes like FF6 advance or chrono trigger for the DS..

I can understand not liking remakes, but what's wrong with simple ports? It's like not liking when books get a reprint.
