I was going to say, can't you have kid on your lap and then your arms go around the kid to hold a controller? That's the setup I use when one of my cats wants lap time.

Sure, just have to watch clinching your arm so you don't jostle them awake.

One of my cats likes to climb in my lap when I play vidja. She hates when I play Wii though.

Alternate solution:

Abandon your children in the wilderness so you can play more video games. The wolves can raise them well enough, and they will have many fun-filled adventures.

Or eat them and save a little bit of money on food for the day.

Nice! I'll look into one of those.

Hey, I'm new at this! I'm still in the 3D Zelda-length tutorial phase (minus the annoying fairy/lightball) of this adventure.

Endless Legend is fun, but everytme I start to understand how a faction works the game implodes because it's very poorly balanced and the AI doesn't really work.

Yep, that's pretty much Endless Legend in a nutshell. The art and music make the game worth experiencing and I am glad it exists... but I am not really sure how well it holds up as a strategy game.

Have you tried Fallen Enchantress: Legendary Heroes? It's a few years old at this point but I think it scratches the turn-based fantasy strategy itch a little better. I can also wholeheartedly recommend Age of Wonders 3 - it's a fantastic game if you are really into tactical combat.

It's just...dumb, you know? Like, how is a resource that gives you +20% Gold, +20% Science, +20% Food, +20 Influence balanced in any way, specially when you can stack it with 4 or 5 equally broken resources? It doesn't make sense.

No, I haven't. I've heard good things about Age of Wonders 3, though. It's Heroes-like, right?

I like when people use the stock condition descriptions for Atari 2600 games on Amazon so it says stuff like, "included DLC may already be redeemed."
