Video Game "Look what I found"
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
NCAA basketball. Glad that's the one they decided to destroy as kids! Other than 4 NES games, these are all duplicates but glad to have them to use to barter for more games!!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
DA2 is brand new and Creep Night Pinball is minty aside from 1 small crack in the case. Not bad for $8. There were more copies of DA2 if someone wants a cheap new retail copy.

I'd be interested to hear about Creep Nigh Pinball on the Video Pinball thread after you've had some time playing it! That is a title I've never heard of before.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
My latest haul, achieved via 2 Craigslist purchases and one Amazon purchase:
Ys III was the one I got off of Amazon, mostly because I've heard Johnny Millennium talk about Ys a lot, and he did one on specifically the many versions of Ys III. So I got it. It was actually in pretty nice condition, other than a small area in which someone carved a line into the cart. I've only played it once thus far, but it seems decent. Sure it's not in the same league of SNES action RPGs like Illusion of Gaia and Secret of Mana, but it'll do, since the only other RPGs I have are Crystalis and Zelda II (yes Zelda II is an action RPG, deal with it).
Price - $6.98 (it was $2.99 plus shipping, cart only)
I had been looking to build my Saturn collection because I only had the one game of Virtua Fighter 2 in my collection since I got the Saturn back in January. So this was a most welcome addition to the library. This was a Craigslist buy that I got from a guy who was getting rid of his collection. The 4 games were disc only, in those paper sleeves. The guy also threw in that Daytona USA case, which is basically just a regular CD case but with the "not for resale" Daytona USA cardboard sleeves cut out to fit into the CD case. It doesn't close well so I might swap it out with one that closes. With the exception of NBA Jam: Tournament Edition, all the games are "not for resale".
Price - $10 for all......5 games? Wait, what? Oh yeah, the hockey game was thrown in for free because the guy "wanted to get rid of it". I took it anyway, even though I don't have a PS1 so....yeah.
Lastly....Kirby's Dreamland 3. So how the hell did I get THIS one? Well, I didn't sell a kidney or put off a student loan payment. In fact, I didn't even spend a penny on it.
WAHT??????? HOW?????
Remember those SNES games I got for cheap earlier in this thread (the mario kart and zelda ones?). I used those as trade bait. Anyway, a guy that I've dealt with on Craigslist a few times already, was selling this game. He started at 40 bucks but kept going lower until he got to 20 bucks. I asked him if he would accept other games for trade for the KD3 game. He asked what I had. I told him I had those games, plus the first Tony Hawk for N64, Burnout, Viewtiful Joe, and Viewtiful Joe 2 (those for the Gamecube). He was hesitant at first but then he was like "what the hell, you got yourself a deal". So I go to his place and we ended up chatting for over half an hour about games and such. He also said that he was gonna try to get Mega Man X3 from a collector in OC so I may have a shot at my holy grail. Maybe....
Price - 6 games. No dollars spent. Booyah, grandma
So that's that, so far.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Asked some family friends if they had any old video games laying around, and it turns out one of them did! She found some NES stuff: Metroid, Air Fortress, Tetris, and Hoops, along with a controller and a power adapter. Offered to buy and she just told me to take them. I'm not one to complain about free stuff (then again I don't think any of us are)
Metroid even has the manual in it, and looking through it, it's really strange to see Samus referred to as male throughout the whole thing...

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who loves the Nintendo e-Reader.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
In the last few month's either I missed out or didn't find nothing. This last week though has been tthe best week for finds. I would show pics but most of the stuff is already given away to my brother or friends. Here is what I got.
A friend gave me from work a xbox 360 no remote. A ps2 fat with 40 games. Most are scratched but I'm giving the system to my brother for his kids. Most of the games were kids games and super heroes. Then 2 days ago I picked up from my local game store because the games and systems were from a heavy smoker and everything was deep yellow. It took all day yesterday to clean it up.
2 dreamcast systems complete
Boxed genesis 1 complete (high definition graphics model)
2 fat ps2 models complete.(ps2 broken dvd error)
Ps1 model 1001 boxed and complete
psone (system only)
n64 complete
3 nes systems 2 complete
snes complete
6 nes controllers
4 dreamcast memory cards
4 ps2 memory cards
4 ps1 memory cards
2 n64 cards
gameshark ps1
codebreakers ps1
games:
driver 2 complete
test drive 4,5,6 ps1
reel fishing ps1
madden 98 ps1
wheel of fortune nes
tecmo bowl nes
ultimate basketball nes
ghost n goblins nes
mario/duck hunt nes
crystalis nes
tetris plus ps1
test drive 6 dreamcast
18 wheeler dreamcast
bass fishing dreamcast
sega bass fishing 2 dreamcast
reel fishing dreamcast
vanishing point dreamcast
nascar 98 ps1
All the games are complete. I got all this for 30.00 The 360 and ps2 were free. I can't believe my luck. My camera broke so I cant take photo's but I just wanted to share this because I love this site and I'm DAMN PROUD TO BE A GAMER
