Screw Dancing With The Stars, you just named the Ultimate Reality Show.

Eight Day In-Law Invasion: The Series

I'd watch it. The hour long show might consist of twenty minutes of the Husband drinking Coors in a closet while shaking his head to and fro, but I'd watch it as you know at some point someone will snap.

And hey, being a reality show, if nobody actually does snap, they'll always just stage it.

^Happy Birthdays and such.

Smile:

I'm dorking,
Into a whole new era.
Lazer Tag,
Step to this I dare ya.
Walkie Talkies,
On a whole new level.
If you hear "beep beep beep",
You know you're in trouble.

Heading out to Toy's R' Us after lunch to pick up eight lazer tag guns and sensors as well as four walkie talkies. Capture the Flag will be ON this weekend, and I'm really looking forward to a round robin tournament with friends.

I had no clue lazer tag guns were so cheap these days. Back in '87 they were $100 a pop. Sure, they looked a lot sweeter and had more of a Blade Runner look to them, but the game remains the same.

I think I like LazerTag over Paintball. It's less painful, and you can play indoors.

But I do like playing paintball. Something about wargames just interests me. Now if only I was a good strategist.

I tend to adopt the Leroy Jenkins art of war. Doesn't always work out.

I enjoy the pain of paintball. It adds more suspense as you really don't want to be shot. Lazertag lacks that intensity. I also like just having to shoot the person and not aim at small sensors. I remember going to a lazertag place and grown men wiggling their bodies and strafing like they were in halo so you couldnt hit their sensor. It was comical.

True story. When I was seven my Father promised to give me $100usd if I did 100 consecutive push-ups. I trained, and trained, and one day accomplished my goal. Not only did I get one set, Pops threw in another.

But his plan backfired. Instead of keeping up with 100 push-ups a day, I spent my days playing Lazer Tag instead.

I have as many gal pals as I do dude pals, so lazer tag is the way to go for me. That, and I don't want to clean paint off my house/fence/yard/shed/etc. I also purchased walkie talkies (with an unnecessary 16 mile range) for "Team/Flag Commanders".

Grown ups being silly is always fun, and I know we'll have a battle of the sexes.

Backyard fun definitely favors lazer tag for the reasons you mentioned.

Let us know what set you pick up and how well it works. One of my son's friends(5 year olds) had a lazer tag party at a place and I thought it would be cool to get a set and play at my parents house(50 acres, a lot wooded), but I just remember the old ones that you could buy for home use not working that well.
