Eh, some of you read too much into what I said.
Let me explain:
Most of my cartridges only work for about ten or twenty minutes before the screen freezes up again. I've tried cleaning them all to the best of my ability, but no dice. I don't really worry too much about save batteries, since most of them are password-based or otherwise don't feature a way to track your progress.
Also, I meant to say that I discovered ZSNES way back in 2000. My preferred emulator is Snes9x.
How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?

Damn, I just read Byuu's last post. That's heavy considering the site's normal content. I hope he finds fulfillment in his other pursuits.
Beware, BSNES can be a very demanding emulator. IIRC, the 32-bit version isn't as intense as the 64-bit version, so you might want to try that. Higan has three options for performance/accuracy: Accuracy, Balance, and Performance.ExedExes wrote:I'll have to take a look at this bsnes.

They only read into it what you wrote.
Then; many offered polite / generous assistance. Knowing this community and the problem you've elaborated; I bet many will again try to help you. With the above response though, I won't be one of them.Aegis wrote:Most of my Super Nintendo games no longer work,

Well, you did overlook the part where someone thought I still had the same ZSNES build from 2000.mjmjr25 wrote:They only read into it what you wrote.

You don't need to help me with anything, and while I appreciate the others offering to help, I don't have any interest in collecting anymore. Gaming is something that I usually do when I'm bored.

Sounds like it your SNES that is having the issues not your games, seems like way too much of a coincidence that multiple games have the same issueAegis wrote:Eh, some of you read too much into what I said.

Well, you worded it in a way that wasn't clear either way, so I asked if you had a build from 2000. But either way, bsnes is worth checking out.Aegis wrote: Well, you did overlook the part where someone thought I still had the same ZSNES build from 2000.
Speaking of things not being clear...
Assuming it's a SNES game since you're in the SNES thread, Super Mario... Kart, right? World? RPG? All Stars? Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island?Sano wrote:Playing though Super Mario... forgot how much fun that game is to play!
Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
It is and it isn't. Higan I think is saddled by all the other systems he threw in there as it behaves even worse as far as system standards. On my last computer I had, bsnes would be fine on the FPS and higan would chug. Bsnes if I remember right was built for accuracy, but when higan was started up from it he went and made a sloppy speed core, another and then the accuracy core and that one chugged. Due to that I went digging and found the last compiled version of bsnes I could find which was 0.88 and it's good stuff.GSZX1337 wrote:Beware, BSNES can be a very demanding emulator. Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
From my understanding you need little power to get a game running in an emulator but it will take a lot more to perfect it. If the game is 99% is same, we should let go of that exhausting 1% to make it accurate.GSZX1337 wrote: Beware, BSNES can be a very demanding emulator. Re: How Is Your SNES Gaming Going?
That's why the emulator is so intensive, because BSNES was meant to be as accurate as possible. That's also why there's three different versions of Higan.RCBH928 wrote:From my understanding you need little power to get a game running in an emulator but it will take a lot more to perfect it.
