I'm only about a quarter of the way through it (just finished the boss fight against Bane) and already it's made my list of "most awesome games ever". That whole sequence in the morgue was just mind-blowing. The writing is beyond excellent, so you want to keep playing just to see how the story unfolds and Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are the icing on the cake. Seriously, if you've never played this one, you need to run out and pick it up.
There's another part of the game involving that same villain that is even more amazing than the morgue. Here it is if you don't mind spoilers. The moment at 1:51 is amazing. An iconic moment perfectly captured in video game form. I haven't even seen movies capture it so perfectly

I love that game. The combat system is simply brilliant, and the combat challenge rooms are arcade gaming bliss.

It's too bad City just wasn't nearly as focused I get they wanted the more open world. The problem is they did that at a cost to story telling and level design. Asylum had a much better environment and the story didn't have the same semi-rushed feeling to it. I mean, it's still a great game and if you love Asylum you'll still love City for sure. Just not quite as good or impactful as Asylum.

Also losing Mark Hamill as the joker for Origins makes me a sad panda.
I think it would be interesting to see a mix of styles. An open world game, but with certain contained areas being designed like Arkham Asylum's Metroid influenced areas. I liked the improvements they made to combat in Arkham City and new stealth abilities. The bosses were a HUGE improvement over Arkham Asylum. Plus, new playable characters. My only gripe was way, way, waaaaay too many Riddler trophies, and they might have gone overboard on challenge rooms too. Arkham City is just too giving.

The guy doing Joker in the trailer sounded very similar to Mark Hammil I thought

I love these Batman games. I have both PS3 and 360 version of Arkham Asylum and have 100% trophies and achievements for both. I have both console collector's editions of Arkham City. I also have Arkham City on PC (though I could never play it due to weird controller issues). I can't wait for Arkham Origins, and I think I'm even more excited for Blackgate since it will be something fresh and new

I remember when news first came out about Arkham Asylum. Everyone though, "Oh great, another shitty Batman game, and by some no name developer too". Then a couple videos and pictures and various things came out and there was that amazing moment when a lot of us went, "Holy shit! They might actually pull this off"

Lol yep! I was actually one of those people who thought it would suck. Boy, was I wrong!

I've got the platinum for both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Except for the challenge rooms (especially Shock and Awe EXTREME on AA) they aren't too bad.

I LOVED Arkham Asylum. Such an awesome atmosphere to the game that makes you really feel like you're playing in the comic Batman's world.

I just got Arkham City and haven't really played other than the intro when I was testing it. I do look forward to getting into that one.

While my girlfriend used the TV playing The Last of Us on Wednesday night, I started a game in Pokemon Ruby on my PSP and haven't stopped since.

Discovering new pokemon who weren't in Red Version (the last main entry I'd played) has been a total blast and I feel just as enchanted with this game as I was playing the originals back in the day.

So far, grinding, and evolving my party has been blissful and I'm already 13 hours and 3 badges deep. I've had so much fun exploring this game so far, and am even more excited for X/Y versions to come out in October. Take my money, Game Freak!

Picked up Hotline Miami for the Vita yesterday and it's pretty great. There's something unique about the gameplay...it has that style where you have to do levels over and over until you get it right sometimes, but when it goes right? You feel like you're in a well scripted fight scene in a movie, pretty awesome.

Like a twin-stick shooter kind of.

I look for that experience from so many games that I play and Hotline Miami is one of the very few to actually pull it off.

So good! Just a bit ago I rounded a corner unloaded two shotgun shells into the guys there and ran out of bullets, another guy came round and I threw my shotgun at him knocking him down, I went over and punched him till he died, picked up his knife and quickly killed the dog that was jumping at me. This all happened in about two seconds, just flawless. All done to thumping techno and bright neon. This game has a f-ton of style.

Finally started The Last of Us the other night. I'm not very far into it yet, but....wow. It's fantastic.

I am trying not to let all the hype of this game influence what I think about it. But it's well deserved so far. I hope it keeps it up.
