I like a challenge in my FPS. No cheating here, just tons of reloading. I got this and GRAW2 last year. This also had a second disc which has a making of feature. Maybe they might explain why they made it so difficult!Exhuminator wrote:Seriously this is the hardest FPS I've ever personally beaten. (And that was without cheats of course.) If you beat this game you will have my respect for sure.
What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

I don't know, if they say why, please let me know.ExedExes wrote: Maybe they might explain why they made it so difficult!
I do know the 360 version is a totally different game (3rd person?) and is much more forgiving. I also beat the OG Xbox version of this game, which is different than the PC and 360 versions. It was hard, but nowhere near as hard as the PC version. I also beat said OG Xbox version split-screen co-op, which was a lot of fun actually.

I picked up Enemy Front on the PS3 for $5, the game would be semi decent if it was not for all the slow down, half the time you look down your sights, it just has massive jerks in the frame rate, close to unplayable.

Why does Doom 3 have to suck so hard? I really hope they don't screw up Doom 4.

I'm considering starting up the Shellshock games on my 360. Love games based around Vietnam but that war seems to get passed over in favor of WW2 and Modern Settings quite often
. Glad to see the first one is 360 compatible

Because id decided awesome graphics and tiny hallways were more important than expansive levels and chaotic fire fights.MrPopo wrote:Why does Doom 3 have to suck so hard?

What, you guys don't like Serious Sam in narrow corridors with a lighting problem?
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Doom 3 is still great in my book, though the combat leaves a bit to be desired after awhile. For something comparable for that time... Half-Life 2's enemy AI is about 100x better. Also the gun noises in Doom 3 suck. But overall not a bad game. And Quake 4 hilariously feels like an expansion pack, with faster running and no flashlight. It's pretty decent too.
Speaking of hard FPS's, I don't think I've ever beaten Blood, or Shadow Warrior. The originals. Duke Nukem 3D I can do, but good lord these games are ridiculous. I can do a lot of Doom on UV, but even on the easiest difficulties these Build engine games destroy me.

I could forgive the corridors and the lighting if the guns didn't feel so shitty to use. It's like I'm firing toy guns. Sure, if you compare their actual performance with other FPS's the guns are fine, but the combination of their looks and the sound makes them feel just so bleh.
At least the monitors are cool.
