I think Capcom has teams dedicated to coming up with ideas to ruin things.

I don't know what you're talking about. I find the CG iterations much more entertaining. At least the two I watched. And does RE really have a coherent story? I kind of lost the plot (heh) after Four.brunoafh wrote:I think the live action RE movies are better than the CGI movies, which is really saying something. I don't know how you could fuck up such an simple formula so badly.

I like the first RE movie. I've yet to see any of the others, but always plan to. And in fairness, I do enjoy pretty bad flicks haha. That said, I've never understood why they don't make a movie that's a lot more like the first game. Considering how much the first game takes from 80's horror films, it seems kind of an obvious thing to do. Maybe someday we'll get an entry in the series that goes that route...

I haven't actually read it myself, but I do know that it's a lot closer to the original game and most fans who've read it greatly prefer it to the movie that we got.noiseredux wrote:didn't even know one existed! Is it awesome?AppleQueso wrote: Ever read the Romero Resident Evil script?

Expendables 2. I know I am really late to the party on this one, I just was not in the mood for it until this weekend. My wife and I sat down Saturday night after a day of yardwork and watched it, she conked out about halfway through. I laughed threw the majority of it. Far better than the first, instantly rewatchable. The scene in the airport is exactly what I wanted from the series the entire time. High hopes for 3.

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
To me the RE movies are like the games. I'm not sure which games you have all played, but they all have pretty crappy story/dialogue/acting, they're just mindless fun. So are the movies. I always look forward to the next one.noiseredux wrote:I like the first RE movie. I've yet to see any of the others, but always plan to. And in fairness, I do enjoy pretty bad flicks haha.
