^^ Very nice find on the 3DO!

Anyway, I got the following Super Nintendo games today on craigslist:

Super Turrican - Main reason I wanted this bundle never played it but saw it on quite a few "must own" lists so I have had my eye on it on ebay. I popped it in about an hour ago and it's pretty frickin sweet. Love the blatant rip-off of Metroid with the morphball and bombs  .
Alien vs. Predator
Battletoads & Double Dragon - Already had going to trade it at the flea market
Star Trek Star Fleet Academy - ???? Had no idea this game existed until today
Urban Strike
Clue
Primal Rage - In terrible condition (former rental with stickers to show it) and since the game is so bad (and I already have a boxed copy) I might just give it to my dog
Star Fox - Already had it but this one is in slightly better condition so I'll be trading away my old copy

Total for all the games: 15 bucks

When I returned I came determined to find something and oh boy I did! Pictured below is the elusive Panasonic 3DO. SHOCKED WAS I WHEN I HEARD THE DEAL OFFERED. The vendor had 3 of the consoles stacked up and he offered one console plus 10 games for.....45 DOLLARS. Many 3DO consoles and games run often at or above retail prices and ebay prices, so I was very lucky to find such a deal. Also, I got the DOCS 3DO wireless controller and adapter as well. The games I got were....

Wolfenstein 3D
Soccer Kid
Super Street Fighter II Turbo
Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger(4 disc Long box collection)
FIFA International Soccer
Sewer Shark
Syndicate
Shockwave
Theme Park (Long box)
Star Wars Rebel Assault
That's a nice deal! Too bad most of the games are not boxed, but that controller is pretty cool. I've never seen it before.

Soccer Kid if a fun platformer. I've always liked it. I've never had a chance to play the 3DO version of Sewer Shark, so that's kind of neat. I've always liked the FIFA that came out on the 3DO, too. You have some nice games there.

If I were to recommend any, it's the usual:
The Need for Speed
Road Rash
Star Control II
Samurai Shodown (the 3DO version is very well done)
Gex
Off Road Interceptor (hey, I dig this game :P )
Madden NFL Football (I'm not a football fan, but I found this one to be fine. I'm just a sucker for large sprites)
Slam 'n Jam '95 (same reason as above)

Haha, yeah they might have taken the idea from Metroid. I love Super Turrican for sure. I haven't played Super Turrican 2. I'd like to.

Mega Turrican on the Genesis is also very nice.

I always found that the 3DO version of Samurai Showdown suffered from bad slow down? Maybe it's just my copy, but I have the front load Panasonic version and the top loader, and it seems "slow" on both of them. Street Fighter by example, plays fine. Can you comment if your version plays fine? It's one of my favs, and I was always bummed that the game looked so good but played slow.

Also, ArkThompson, remember that you can play backups on the 3DO hardware without a mod chip..... for those "elusive" titles that are too expensive to pay ebay prices for.....

I have both Panasonic models. It is indeed... a bit choppy compared to the Neo Geo version, especially after zooming out. I think there are a few frame of animation cut from the NG version. Still, compare it with every other version not on a Neo Geo console. The 3DO one rocks.

Do you keep your make up on and stuff when you go to thrift stores and out shopping? I mean, is it like your regular daily way to present yourself, or just something you do on occasions? Just curious; no offense intended!

pretty sure he does that every day.

He's confident in the way he looks. He shrugs off odd stares from the old ladies.

I've seen people like this before, and they just do the same things we do, just dressed a little differently.

Anyone know why my photos got spoiled? They weren't too large were they?

And yes I know about the 3DO and its region-free capabilities. Me and a buddy decided to play through the ISO of Plumbers Dont Wear Ties on it and hilarity ensued!

And I would LOVE to find a copy of Samurai Shodown, though im sure ill be having to fork out the money if I found it at retail :P

That Japanese release isn't so expensive if you can find it.

Well, managed to cross two items off my want list today.

Gargoyle's Quest II
Ninja Gaiden III (with manual)

and a few game gear games with it for good measure:

Joe Montana Football
Winter Olympic Games
Super Columns
Shinobi II: The Silent Fury
Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story
Robocop 3
The Adventures of Batman & Robin

Paid $50 for all. Not too bad, just happy to have these two items in nice shape that have been on my list for a long time. :D
