Feeling extremely relieved. Pulled a rabbit out of my hat and scored well enough on a test today for a brutal cram course I am taking this summer that should keep me at an A.

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Vacation has been a blast so far. We went to the Zoo, Aquarium, and Insectarium in New Orleans. The Zoo was okay, but hot. The kid loved seeing the leopards and tigers the most, and kept saying "Look kitty!". The Insectarium was a huge hit with her, and she went through the whole thing exclaiming "Boog! Prefee Buttfly!" The Aquarium was pretty neat, but short. Plus the kids there weren't really too nice when it came to personal space. I was constantly annoyed by a little boy that kept pushing my kid away from the exhibits, but we just moved on when his family caught up with ours.
We also visited a store that just replaced our local Books a Million called "2nd and Charles". They had lots of retro everything, from records, to video games, to manga. We found a N64 game storage drawer so now we won't have the carts just floating around. Jinx also found some CIB games that he wanted, but we didn't pick them up at the time. I think we're going to go back later today and check it out again.
Jinx took me out to eat at our favorite sushi restaurant for our 4 year anniversary. As always, it was amazing. We didn't take any pictures though. I can't believe we've been together for that long. (still can't believe my kid is almost 2! I'm getting old
The 4th was awesome as well. We had a BBQ at my mom's house and the whole family showed up. It was fun seeing my kid play with all of her cousins. I never realized how many kids I have in my family.
We leave the northshore tomorrow to head down to Houma to see Jinx's grandfather, then from there we're going to head back to Houston. I feels like we just got here. We all had a great time and Jinx got rid of a lot of his stress. Our car hasn't blown up yet, and we all still have smiles on our faces, so I consider our first family vacation to be a success so far. The only part of the vacation that I can complain about is the driving. My knees hate me for that.
I'm here for your body.

Had a great day at our 4th party yesterday - tons of food, tons of games, and good fellowship. My folks entered a float on behalf of their church in the parade and took 4th prize. Late last night we all loaded up on the float, about 30 of us, and drove around singing hymns. Pic esplosion of the day for anyone interested:

Smile: I was able to go to the Galloping Ghost Arcade for the first time yesterday; it was a revelatory experience. :'D
Frown: I was only able to stay for an hour or two due to schedule constraints.

I think Luke will like this article
I have an subscription to SI, and every issue is pretty great. On that same issue you posted they go through dozens of sport movie "where are they now"s. One of my favorites featured was the cast of THE SANDLOT.
As far as The Karate Kid goes, Johnny was the real hero who learned the most valuable lesson.
