The World's End.

If you're a fan of Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz you owe it to yourself to go see this. And if you enjoy comedies, you owe it to yourself to go see this. Go see this.

Ya vol mein fuhrer!

I'm really looking forward to this. I have a feeling I know exactly what to expect, but "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it". Even if it is Shaun of the Dead without zombies, I'll probably eat it up.

Jawohl mein Führer would be the proper German, though use of Führer would get your ass beat in Germany.

You mean Deutsch?

Boo-yah.

I took six semesters of Deutsch (not because I wanted to and obviously not because I excelled at it) and ya vol is perfectly acceptable. My pal Karsten, who is German and lives in Germany, uses "Mein Fuherer" in a sarcastic manner all the time.

Maybe he gets a pass for being German, but so am I (second generation at that), so I don't see any problems. Next visit to Dusseldorf I'll see if the phrase causes any issues.

The Wolverine.

I thought it was a completely average and forgettable action movie, with some good special effects here or there.

And I had one question about it, afterwards. Why did the Japanese guy become obsessed with Adamantium if when he met Wolverine in WWII, Wolverine still had bone claws and no Adamantium yet? In the movie, it even showed his bone claws when he was hanging by them in the well, spying on the base.

That's one of the few things in the film that made sense.
He was keeping tabs on Logan throughout the decades and to formulate his plan to ask for ... or take ... his healing factor (that part still doesn't make sense) he would have to get into his bones, so the guy had to become an Adamantium expert. Furthermore, in the X-Universe, at least on screen so far, Adamantium is the hardest metal known. So, it'd be a good option for armor ... especially if you were building a suit to fight a guy who had Adamandium claws and laced bones.

If you want stuff that doesn't make sense in the movie ... there's plenty of that.
Like, how does Wolverine remember this guy? They never fixed his memory in any of the X-Movies.
