You are both incorrect. The correct saying is:Stark wrote:I believe the saying is "What hath science wrought?"BoringSupreez wrote:Has science gone too far?dsheinem wrote:

Because I suggested to use the atom elements for producing super beings, beings of unthinkable strength and size. I was classed as a madman, a charlatan, outlawed in a world of science which previously honored me as a genius. Now, here in this forsaken jungle hell, I have proven that I am right. No, Professor Strowsky, it is no laughing matter..."

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Random question for you...I'm just going to guess here since most gamers are geeks/nerds, that some of you have a lot of books. Now, how do you store your books? I have two bookcases to work with and all ready their full. I'v heard all the order by size and such and sometimes that's not possible, because I'll have hardbacks and paperback in the same series. I don't want to do double rows because I don't like hiding things. And I have heard that stacking the books up and down instead of having them side by side normally might be the way to go. What do you guys think?
I'm purging myself of some of these books all ready so hopefully I can find some more room but in some cases (like with my massive sci-fi collection) it's just not possible even after I get rid of some of the books.

I am buying all Saturn games, PM me with your offerings and I will let you know if I need the game or not! (Everything must be CIB)
Currently trying to knock off all the sports games, would like to get them <$5 each! Of course if you would like to donate them I will gladly pay the shipping!

Nah but really, If I were to have that many books I would stack them on their sides up and down because you can utilize the space above the books that would normally be wasted.
I guess stacking is the way to go...I'll give it a shot.

Some are on a bookshelf, others are in a box. And the magazines and comics have specialized boxes you get at the comic shop.GirlGamer55 wrote:Random question for you...I'm just going to guess here since most gamers are geeks/nerds, that some of you have a lot of books. Space is always an issue for me, though. I collect too much stuff. Movies, music, video games, and comics.

What are magazine boxes? are they like just regular cardboard boxes?
I bought Silent Hill Shattered memories for Wii . I am very surprised to find this game price starts at $12 and I think its $24 new . I really didn't think its special in any way , its not bad, but I know a lot of better games out there that have much lower prices. EX... Dead Rising on 360 is only $1.5 at Amazon. Red Dead Redemption is $14 new.

You can probably find them cheaper at your local comic shop (and no shipping cost) than at that link. But if you don't have a LCS, then there you go.

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I'm a pretty hardcore book nerd. I'm continually growing a collection of limited edition titles about esoteric spirituality. I try to store as much as I can "normal" on a shelf, but I also store some behind others. I'll put some books I don't see myself revisiting on a shelf in a closet. I'll lie cheaper ones sideways and slip them under my bed. I don't recommend stacking them, because you'll likely cause damage to whatever's on the bottom.GirlGamer55 wrote:Random question for you...I'm just going to guess here since most gamers are geeks/nerds, that some of you have a lot of books. (And I'm constantly giving away fiction or titles I don't see myself needing to reference down the line.)
But yeah, not having enough room for ones books is ARCHETYPAL NERD-PROBLEM. Good luck!
