That's how my mom always feels. Every night, Dad complains about his many aches and pains while watching Star Trek.

June 12th was my anniversary... Took the wife to the big city for dinner, japandroids show, drinks and hotel. It was an awesome evening. The morning sucked. Some a-hole busted open the car window and robbed us blind. iPhone, iPad, new LP I bought for myself, and other items all totaling 1100.00. What ticks me off is that yesterday I got a call from insurance and it looks like I might gets shafted on a few items due to lack of reciepts... WTF?? I know people are shady and pad claims but I've been with this company 14 years and never once filled a claim. Ive needed them once in all this time and they are looking for loopholes not to pay out. This is not at all like a good neighbor!! I pitched a minor fit to the claims agent and depending on the news I get today... Well I may just be super pissed again and verbally attack the jerk off who's in charge of that department.

Congrats on your anniversary.
But you can't leave any valuables in your car these days, even in small towns. And if said items are in plain view, you're asking to get robbed.
Frown: My a/c woes continue.
Smile: Booked tickets for the Windy City.

Yea... I know the routine with parking in the city... However the alcohol made us a bit forgetful!
Bummer part is... It was parked in the hotel lot under a giant light with all doors locked.
But a smile for today... My kids crack me up. I have a one year old who is pretty awesome in the mornings and she's got me perked up a bit.

Smile: I'll have the entire house to myself tomorrow until mid afternoon. Plenty of time o catch on BioInfinite.
Frown: A/C guys haven't called back with an estimate. I'm requesting free freon until they fix this mess.
Frown: The reason I'll have the house to myself is that my wife will be going to the beach with friends and not listening to John Phillips Sousa with me. I'll also have to hear "Why didn't you go to the beach with us?" from several people over again and then hear "I don't know why Luke doesn't like the beach?".
Well, it's simple: I don't like being uncomfortably hot nor do I like to swim in God's cesspool.
Everything is so damned hot at the beach and I don't feel like breaking a sweat by just sitting around qualifies as relaxation. Sand gets everywhere including in your drinks, on your food, in your handhelds (which doesn't really matter because it will be too hot to hold the handheld and to glaring to se the screen).
"Take a dip in the ocean, it will get the sand off and it is refreshing!". No it doesn't and no it isn't. You come off more sandy and smelly but with a new respect for jellyfish.
I'd much rather go fishing on a lake, or scuba diving, or something other sitting around sweating. I'll never understand how being scorched can be relaxing.

Visiting Chicago in July, Boone in August. Also going to a Bison ranch soon which should be delicious...and fun. But hopefully more delicious than fun.
Smile: Somewhat perfected my 4th of July Red, White & Blue cocktail.
Crushed ice in a rinsed glass: Layer in order
1 oz. Blue curacao
1.5 oz. Vodka mixed with 2 oz. Seltzer
2-3 TBSP Watermelon puree (or freshly shredded watermelon)
Garnish with mini American Cocktail Flag

RANT:
The level of laziness at the garage is getting ridiculous and our new supervisor is out of his depth with no control whatsoever over the crew leaders who have basically given up on trying to run even a remotely efficient operation
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
I sympathize, man. At the store I used to work at, only a few of us actually cared about doing our job well. One of our supervisors was just as annoyed as we were about most people goofing off all day, but since he didn't have firing power and the guy who did didn't care, he couldn't do a thing about it. It sucked.
Smile: Going to lunch at the smokehouse later, followed by our annual viewing of 1776 (we watch that movie almost every year on the 4th. If you've never seen it, you really should 'cause it's excellent).
Bonus Smile: WB finally announced a US release date for Top Cat The Movie (August 2nd, followed quickly by the dvd release on September 3rd). Not only that, but the studio that made it is working on a sequel!

I'm not a glitch, I just have pixlexia.
