Silent Hill. An unfocused mess that isn't one bit scary. Fans are so wrong in the head. At least critics deservedly panned this POS.

I agree, everything I liked about Silent Hill was effectively taken out of this movie.

I just finished watching "Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen".

I guess I shouldn't have had high expectations, since it's a Michael Bay film, but that movie is way dumber than a film about giant robots from outer space really needs to be.

Also, during it I missed the question posting in the Ultimate Retro Challenge.

The Silence of the Lambs.

I'd never seen it all the way through. Enjoyable film. It's too bad the DVD I got from Netflix was fullscreen only and lacked subtitles(for some reason DVD played on my PS2 are always really quiet, so I tend to turn subtitles on), but it didn't detract too much from the experience.

I really want some mutton now though.

The PS2's DRC is flawed if at all implemented. You can apply a 200% volume gain in the options.

Watched Inside Man last night. Quite entertaining!

I know. Ellen Page is INCREDIBLE. Also loved her in Juno and Smart People. It's strange that I'd love her in the latter since SP was pretty slow.

And why the HELL is everyone ragging on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen? While it has flaws, it's still one of the better soulless Hollywood pieces of shit out there.

Started watching "The Great Yokai War" (Miike-directed AND it's a fantasy film not based on an uber-popular IP? Sounds gr8), but I was getting a bit needy for fresh air, so I went for a bike ride.

Also, any good words for "Night Watch"?

I DID like Hard Candy and Juno was okay, although I hope Page does not get typecasted into these overly talky films filled with one or more young people talking and talking and talking. I understand they are clever high schoolers, but shut the hell up! I am sure it is supposed to be intelligent and people will say I am dumb for not understanding, but intelligent or not, too much talk does not make a good movie. I feel like people are trying to trick us into thinking a movie with a character that talks and talks and talks and spouts out clever metaphors and cheesy lessens in EVERY line is an intelligent one. If you don't like these films it means you are stupid and obsessed with Larry the Cable Guy. Well I hate Larry the Cable Guy and I like many TRULY intelligent movies that have something to offer other than a headache like a glorified Dawson's Creek - remember how we all made fun of that damn show for the same reason.

But really I did like Hard Candy and Juno wasn't too bad.

Saw Astro Boy with my 2 year old son last weekend. It was an okay flick, and I'm surprised he sat through it at the theater. He was really into the fighting robot stuff, and since I'm a huge nerd, so was I.

Watched Year One with the wife last night. It wasn't my favorite movie ever, but I don't understand all the hate it gets. It made me laugh a few times and wasn't unwatchable by any means.

That was freaking hilarious, especially the last car chase.
