As for it being worth the move from the DC port, I guess it depends on how much you like the idea of the arrange mode, as the DC's arcade mode is definitely superior. Like Noise stated, there are tate issues, and issues with enemies that have scrolled off-screen still shooting at you.
Is the PS3's arcade mode inferior to the DC port or are you comparing the DC arcade to the New Order arrange stuff?
I was comparing the DC's arcade mode with the 360's arcade mode, just because they are "supposed" to be the same. The New Order mode is its own thing, not really comparable to anything on the DC port.

So, I guess if you want the mos true arcade mode in port form, the DC port is for you, but if you want the most bang for your buck, you'd probably get more out of the 360/ps3 port, especially if you aren't trying to "tate" the arcade mode.

Played some under defeat last night, and got my ass handed to me. I'm way out of practice on that game.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

Both of those are beautiful, especially on a nice display. Thunder Force supports progressive scan on PS2 IIRC.

I was playing burns I made of them... I may have to track down legit copies now.

Gradius V is way better than I even dreamed of it being, seeing as how, well frankly most Gradius games are the same.

Thunderforce VI... it's criminal this isn't out in the states at the very least Sega should port it to PSN/XBLA. Probably the most accessible game in the series too.
