Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Michi,
I think I would have started to hyperventilate a little with a find like that. I do believe I'm going to cry every time I set foot in my thrift store now. Man they suck..
Today was the best I've done in a long time. I have a Game Boy Color on the way, and no games, so I checked out one of the local junk stores. No games to be found, but I did end up with a Glacier GBA and a berry red GBC for $7.35. Both worked, though they were pretty filthy. Now to find some games..

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
@ Michi, that is seriously one hell of a find in one trip.
Sure my 2012 finds added up are probably just as good if not moreso, but that took me half a year of many purchases, not one trip to a thrift store.
In fact, today I got "one" of those Gameboy games that Michi got, and I'll tell you what, it wasn't nearly as nice looking as the game that was in Michi's thrift store stash
That was 5 bucks. Not a great deal, but eh, could have been worse, and get this, I played it, and beat it already. Definitely the easiest TMNT game I've played. BTW I think that's the first time I bought a video game and beat it the same day in YEARS....

Got my very first Homebrew game today, Assimilate for the NES!!!! A friend of mine knows the programmer so he got my copy straight from him and got him to sign it for me at my request. Pretty psyched about it!

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Well, my find isn't anything like Michi's, but considering I haven't been able to find any non-sports Genesis games in my area in the past four years, I was still pretty excited today. There's a store in my town that's basically like a never-ending garage sale and today they had "Sega games - $3 each or 4 for $9". I found:
Robocop Vs. Terminator (complete)
Sonic Spinball (box, no manual)
Starflight (box, no manual)
The Adventures of Batman & Robin (cart)
Greatest Heavyweights (cart)
NHL '94 (box, no manual)
NBA Live '95 (box, no manual)
Madden '97 (box, NFL Scout Report chart, no manual)
I was hoping to find some more non-sports games, but after a four-year drought I felt pretty good about getting these for $18.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So, I'm incredibly jealous of Michi's findings (particularly the CDX) and even though it's already five pages back, I'm a little embarrassed to even post this, but today I finally decided to pick up the Mushihimesama that's been sitting at a store near me for at least two months:

Minty Fresh LE was originally $63.
And because they were running one of their sales I decided to pick this up because it came with the special pre-order Gensou Suikoden History disc, and because my other copy is a 'The Best' copy without a manual:

Bottom of the cover seems to be a bit stained, and the inside of the case smells a bit funky, but I essentially hate this game, so oh well.
$27.25
But with the five hundred yen discount they came to $59 and $24 respectively.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Nebraska furniture TENT EVENT. Heard about 20 radio ads for it. Easily convinced the wife to drive with me out to Legends, KS. Most of the games sucked.
Did walk away with Dead Rising 2 PS3 for $8. Just need a PS3 now.
