Really to me the color pallet is really bland, the setting isn't super appealing, and the gameplay looks like a generic shooter with a lot of spray and pray.
I think if it's poorly received, most of the backlash will be due to length. Those are the whispers I've been hearing, that it's like 2 hours long and stuff like that.
Length can be overcome if it's good enough though, I bought Ground Zeroes and felt no regret.
Apparently someone rushed through it in about 5.5 hours:
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2015- ... ign-lengthThe devs deny that it is possible to run through it that quickly, but I'd bet that it is probably a game that in a more normal playthrough is either side of 7-8 hours long. And you know what? That's fine. I don't need all my games to be 40+ hours long, nor do I think there should be a direct relationship between length and cost. Whether I get 2, 5, 6, 8, 10, or 100 hours of awesome gameplay and story out of a game, it is worth my time and money.
I am much more interested in what people will have to say about the mechanics, the story, etc. than I am these "concerns" about length. The art and graphics are already getting a lot of acclaim, which makes me hopeful that the devs have crafted something that's compelling across the board.

In fact other users that have played the game report over social media and forums times varying between eight and even as long as fifteen hours (for example, one of the first players to achieve the platinum trophy took about nine hours to complete his first playthrough, even if he had to go back to find some collectibles afterwards), if you spend a lot of time getting immersed in the beautiful world, look at everything there’s to look at, and if you die a reasonable amount of times.
so I think we can debunk the "OMG so short" rumors
