:D One hour 'til vacation!

:? Our company was bought out not too long ago. So far the changes have been gradual, but it seems they're about to hit us full force. LOTS of changes being made and they're doing mandatory training for a lot of the employees.

:D Finishing up the Harry Potter movies tonight. The ending of Deathly Hollows Part 1 tore me up. (Avoiding the movie thread at the moment, because it seems to be filled with spoilers, right after I said I was watching them for the first time... thanks guys.)

Did you already go through the second interview process?

It's not that big of a deal really. All of upper management is getting frantic because that's where the changes are primarily being made. In-turn, it's make a lot of us frantic/nervous. It's an open floor here and talk from supervisors is easily overheard. There's just this weird tension in the room at the moment.

EDIT:
Although the three week advanced training courses some guys are receiving sounds nice.

Usually in a buy out the second interview process trickles down, starting with Senior management. When we purchased Hampton Art we kept the original owner, their senior designer, and slowly gave everyone the axe until we brought everything in-house using our existing "resources".

The question was "What is the minimum we need to operate with, and how do we cut overhead?". It was cut throat and we gradually fired around seventy people. The thing that kept me up at night was knowing that these people were going to be fired anyway, yet we wasted their time by asking them to visit our office, just to let them go.

I still hate the way we handled it. I suggested a company wide email stating that the company had been bought out and that many changes would be made. I would then call for everyone to meet in a face to face forum where the news would be broken. Two Months notice, severance to follow.

But no. One by one we clipped them off.

Frown: "Hernandez is one of TWENTY-EIGHT NFL players arrested since this year's Super Bowl on Feb. 3".

And I thought the NBA was full of mindless thugs.

So far it's just supervisors and upper management getting shifted around. Some of them are getting laid off, but no word on who yet. Their hurting for employees and constantly rehiring more. They're still trying to figure out how they are going to handle this moving forward. As of now, they're putting a big chunk of us through a long training course. My department doesn't seem affected... yet.

Thanks! I'm sure there won't be any issues. My team is desperately needed even if I'm not a big player. If anything I'll probably get sent off to training (which is what I've been asking for).
Now time to go home, go fast, jump on some turtles and blow stuff up!

The silhouettes are finally framed, matted, and hanged.

There's much more detail to the frames than what appears on the picture.
