"People who own a Retron 5 who now wish to play Japanese games with IPS patches" seems like a really niche group, even among retro gamers. A lot of sellers are located in Japan, are they even aware of this yet?
I suppose the good news is that many of these games already were cheap so even with a price hike it won't be unbearable.

Well if the sellers catch on then yeah we might be in trouble....of course that's why I'm trying to get all the ones I can find as quick as I can as long as they are cheap(I just don't know whether or note to trust the sea mail since it doesn't come with a tracking number(or as I've seen in listings "trakking" number)

Looks like thanks to a tip from foxhound i'll be going to fye in concord....they have retron 5's in stock ^_^ now I just need to find a cheap hdmi switch(and probably a actual tv even though I will probably continue to use my soundbar) but later since I need to get there as quick as i can. At least the guy(the assistant manager no less) put it on hold. Before I get home with it did they ever fix that save destroyer bug(I haven't read much of the pages to see if someone has mentioned that or not)?

If you mean SRAM/EEPROM saves (mainly on GBA games), then yes. That was one thing I wasn't real happy with until they finally worked it out.

Well that's good to know....
Apparently "The flintstones: the rescue of dino and hoppy(nes) and 720(gbc) both work on this thing. Would be great if there was another wireless option on it though for say wireless versions of the respective consoles controller(I wish they'd of used some more common labeling to the buttons than what they did and it's way too clacky nor could I get it to work since it's dead apparently right now )

I'd be shocked if they don't offer blue tooth controller support at some point and allow you to use a Dual Shock 3/4 or Wii Classic Controller. I wouldn't sweat the controller too much. Hyperkin is supporting this thing really well. Feels like they're planning on making it their cornerstone product for the forseeable future.

How does $18 shipped sound? http://www.ebay.com/itm/291186090124?ss ... 1497.l2649 Also has AC adapter for when you have enough plugged in it requires power, but it can run without depending. Comes with a remote with IR lens for it and that thing has the battery in it already too.
Yes the save crushing death of GBA games has been stopped supposedly, have not tried it.
