You mean the campaign? I played a few episodes but they didn't really grip me.Thierry Henry wrote:Playing a bit of Battlefield Hardline.
With MGS and Splinter Cell type game-play being right up my alley I knew I'd probably enjoy this as I prefer a stealthy approach to games
There's something very satisfying in clearing an area without alerting anyone.
If you're a pure "action junkie" though I'd say cut a hard line in the other direction.
What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

Finished DFII for the light side, onto the dark side run!
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
In Outcast I remembered getting Force Choke and instead of waiting for an enemy to slowly die I'd swing them around like a club against other enemies and then into the wall (which would kill them). See if DFII supports that.Ack wrote:Finished DFII for the light side, onto the dark side run!

That's an interesting comparison. Is it Rainbow Six-esque or something?Thierry Henry wrote:Playing a bit of Battlefield Hardline.

Isn't a new Rainbow Six in the works? Always been a fan of those games and really enjoyed Vegas 1-2 as well actually. It's been awhile...
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
I really need to get Vegas 2, completed the first one last year. I'd just have to add it to my pretty deep FPS backlog

Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
The dark side run continues. I'm now escaping from the Imperial tower in Ramses Hed. While I have yet to access any dark side powers, I have been finding more secrets on my second run, which has given me a couple of extra points to put into the neutral powers.
Now that I've been through all of it and am going back for a second look, there are a lot of little touches in level design that I'm appreciating more, like running across the tops of blocks on conveyors in Nar Shaddaa. As much as I have complained about some of the weapon choices, the level design of DFII is pretty spectacular. I still think the falling spaceship is my favorite level, but it is hard to dislike breaking into the tower while avoiding AT-STs.

It's cool that it's level based too, lets them fly with a bit more creativity.
I absolutely loved the atmosphere of the first two levels and that cool city. Nothing quite like it elsewhere.
Don't forget there was Mysteries of the Sith, an expansion. I don't recall liking it as much, but I only played it once way back in the day...

Finally got my hands on Wolfenstein: The New Order. Initially I wasn't into it because I'm so out of practice with this type of game but after a while things evened out and I'm finding it pretty compelling.
It's a great hybrid of old-school and new.

Now that I'm finished with the month that was Quake, a whole many FPS games await, many in progress. Of course at the speed I move, it might take me a while to decide what to install/play in progress/put off for another few months
Ah the life of an FPS junkie.
