Bare walls creep me out. Other than that, it looks like you have a comfortable gaming/media room. You even have built-in cupholders for your beer...

In due time its a slow process due to being on a budget. But paint, posters and more sports gear is on the way. 6 months ago it was full of extra furniture and tons of computer parts.

MrPopo wrote:Is that a Cobalt Flux I spy on the floor? I used to run one of those, before I started playing Pump it Up. Even though the corners are functional, the pad just feels too different from a pump pad (especially since the corners on pump aren't squares, they're rectangles). So I sold mine to a friend.
Nice spot.

Again, mine's a Chinese knockoff pad (like the cabinet, I've been experimenting with cheaper Chinese-made replicas of popular arcade gear for non-commercial use). I imported a batch (about 30 all up) as a trial. There was a 10% failure rate, which discouraged me from doing a second import. The pads themselves were cheap, and the postage/shipping from China as well as local import tax was actually a bigger expense all up (75% of the final cost to the public was due to non-item costs).
I've still got about 4 of them left (excluding mine which I use personally). Problem is I need to pull them out and test/fix them before sending them off, which is frustrating and time consuming. As such, I've been reluctant to sell them (particularly to people not in the same city, as local domestic postage is nuts due to the heavy metal frame).
And as you said above, by including the diagonals it reduces your ability to feel the pad beneath your feet, which can be frustrating. However it does mean you can play all the dance games on the market, but truth be told I'd rather just the U/D/L/R pads and stick to DDR myself.

That's a nice clean set up. I like the utility of the home theatre set-up without having the gaming over powering everything. Very classy.

That's weird.
