What's that Japanese Vita game?

One of my colleagues just gave me a loose Mortal Kombat Vita card this morning. Apparently a kid left it in his classroom two weeks ago, and he figured if no one's come to look for it by now, they probably won't. Since I'm the only person he knows with a Vita, it ended up with me. 8)

Nice! Wish people would leave that stuff in my class or something.

That Japanese game is Sayonara Umihara Kawase. Imagine Bionic Commando re-imagined with no combat and heavy emphasis on platforming (almost like puzzle-platforming). It's available digital-only in the US PSN store actually. And I believe it also includes the original JPN-exclusive SNES release. There's not much story to speak of, so I figured I'd be safe with a Japanese release.
I review (mostly old) games at: The Annals of Retrodom.

Might as well post this month's acquisitions. I doubt anything else will be arriving before the month is out:

January:
Ys: Memories of Celceta Vita - £12
Child of Light: Complete Edition Vita - £12
Arcana Heart 3: Love MAX!!!!! Vita - £12.99
Hyperdimension Neptunia U: Action Unleashed Vita - £15
The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes 3DS - £17.99
3D Sonic the Hedgehog 2 3DS eShop - £4.49
3D Streets of Rage 2 3DS eShop - £4.49
3D Gunstar Heroes 3DS eShop - £4.49
3D OutRun 3DS eShop - £4.49
The Fish Files GBC - £6.50
Trax Game Boy - £6.97
Kirby's Pinball Land Game Boy - £3.95
Gargoyle's Quest Game Boy - £5.76
Bubble Ghost Game Boy - £5.94
Mystic Quest Game Boy - £8.02
Blue Shadow NES - £10.75
Vertical Force Virtual Boy - £12.48
Rocket Knight Adventures Mega Drive - £14.30
Lost Kingdoms Gamecube - £7.11
Super Monkey Ball Gamecube - £4.39
Total: 20 games: £174.11

So this month was quite pricy, but I had birthday money to spend! Next month I plan to go a little easier, although I'm going to a convention so we'll see.

I actually bought the PSVita games and Zelda in December, they just didn't arrive til this month.

All the retro games were ebay purchases. I've been trying to follow a list I put together to focus on stuff I want most, instead of randomly spending, although I mainly picked up a selection of the cheaper ones this month.

I just got my physical copies of Saturday Morning RPG for PS4 and Vita so I'm pretty happy about that!

I wasn't able to get it for PS4 (forget to set my fucking alarm for 6 pm), but I was able to snag one for Vita. Better than nothing, I guess, but I wanted both.

Okay, you guys were right; I officially need to budget. I spent waaaay more than I'd realized this month. I'll spend the next couple months chipping away at my credit cards.

Same here, kinda, although my budget to begin with is fairly small. This is the first month I've started actively keeping track of all of my game purchases via Google Sheets. Helps it all sink in.

I never use credit cards to buy games. That's one way to keep spending in check.

I do because most of my purchases are on Amazon, and I want to rack up the rewards points, but I let it get out of control this month. I'm normally pretty good about disciplining myself, but I went overboard in January (I blame the acquisition of a PSP. And Exhuminator. I blame him, too).
