Any roguelikes on the GB/GBC/GBA?

I don't know of any off hand but it's a favorite genre of mine and portable roguelikes are not common...
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Azure Dreams on the Game Boy Color comes to mind.

Nevermind, Fast is quicker on the draw.

You bet:

English translation available:

Also on Game Boy there is Fushigi no Dungeon: Furai no Shiren GB, and its GBC sequel Fushigi no Dungeon 2: Fuurai no Shiren. On Game Boy advance, there is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, and POWDER. And on Game Gear, there is Dragon Crystal. If I remember any more I'll add.

There are a lot of roguelikes on DS, if you really want to have them on the go, that's the system to get. If you have a Droid smartphone, there are some really good ones on Google Play, such as Pixel Dungeon and Delver. These might be available for Apple products too I don't know.

The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series immediately comes to mind.

Also, try Dungeons and Dragons Eye of the Beholder. I'm not sure if that counts as a roguelike or not, but if you like roguelikes, you might like it.

I don't think most roguelike fans would call Eye of the Beholder a member of the genre (I certainly don't) but it is a great game and one of my favorites (I am a fan of dungeon crawlers in many forms). :)

That's kinda what I figured.

I stopped by the Goodwill Computer store this morning. In addition to getting a gift for my daughter, I picked up:

Bomberman Quest - Since I already owned Atomic Punk, Blaster Master Boy, Bomberman, Pocket Bomberman, and Wario Blast, this is the only game I needed to complete my collection of Gameboy Bomberman games. (I am not messing around with the Bomberman Max games...)

CyberTiger - I am now collecting Gameboy golf games, and it was only $0.99!

PGA European Tour - ditto...

Mystery Dungeon games are awesome.

I know it's not Game Boy but the Izuna games on DS are solid roguelikes. Hard as balls though.

Snatch1414 wrote:Well got the urge from this thread and stopped at a store to go through their little box of GameBoy and GB Color games. Don't think there was much in the way of hidden gems or oddities (lot of Disney and Tony Hawk type stuff), but I got:

Super Mario Land
Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers
Game & Watch Gallery

Almost everything was either $2.50 or $5, so I wasn't taking too many chances. Seems like most GB games aren't even worth $5.
Wish I could find them that cheap. I could online, but then it's not after shipping as everyone seems to think it costs $3 to mail a GB cart (meh.) I'm going to the old ma & pa shop when I'm off work in like 10min as I haven't looked over their GB stash (other than casually with no interest) since I left town over 5 years ago. I hope they have Mario Land, really want that old game, it was my first. True story, parents goofed up Christmas of 1989. I ended up opening that game before the Gameboy which blew their surprise, and I was all over trying to find the box. :D It's like a 30-40min game, but because of the fun design, brevity, and uniqueness (like the ball attack) it's so replayable. Since I can't and won't bother with G&W anymore, love to get the old G&W packages again as they're fairly hated and cheap. I'm expecting that store to have the games in the $5-10 range making it ebay even.
