Last night I noticed that my 2600's video output doesn't actually take up all of my 4:3 CRT screen...

What's up with that? Is that normal or is something wrong with my Vader?

HG 101 just posted an article on Vanguard, and it reminds me how well-made the 2600 port was, and I'm happy to have it.

Never even heard of it. Pong console? Or just no info about it anywhere?
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

No, it takes carts! I had never heard about it either until the other day. I can find carts in eBay but no system.

Well, it happened.

Yesterday I bought an Atari 2600 game that I already own. I did it on purpose - I knowingly bought a second copy of Berzerk when the one I have works perfectly.

Why?

Because this one had a nice label and the one I already had was all torn up! 8)

File this under "you know you're a collector when..."

Eventually, you will get to the point where you have multiple versions of the same cart because the labels are different and because you just have to have every game in particular sub-set! (Seriously, I own five copies of Space Invaders...)

I have an Atari 2600 Jr with the small rainbow label. I have been trying to get the Atari carts that was recovered from the Atari landfill from last year. They said to have 32 different games come up from the site?
Anyways the place I go to sell Atari are usually 1-3.00 if not then bundles of a few dollars more.
It was cool to see my 11 year old son and his friend play galaxian and defender and ms pac man yesterday.
I need to get e.t. soon. I really would love to get my hands on a Atari 7800, but I don't feel like spending close to a 100.00 for a few updated games in graphics when I own the nes versions

Anyone familiar with Tower of Doom for the Intellivision? I've heard it called an "action-RPG" though I suspect it's more of a top-down action game with a fantasy setting. Trying to figure out if it's at all worth the high asking price.

It's a really interesting game. You move around the tower in top-down Rogue-ish way but when you get into a battle it changes to a side-scrolling combat scene.
