Seriously guys, your series if my favorite one out there. You always cover a crazy plethora of games, games I haven't heard of most of the time, and unlike most youtube producers, you aren't pretentious at all, you just love doing this cause you love video games. Keep working on amazing episodes guys

I was making no comment on its quality. I tried it and didn't care for the controls either. Just surprised it wasn't mentioned since the Saturn one was. Obviously they can't cram everything in though.Ghegs wrote:Why Game Arts decided to ruin a perfectly servicable game by making the analog sticks operate as complete opposites to what every other game does is forever beyond me.Hobie-wan wrote:Surprised you didn't at least mention Gungriffon Blaze on PS2.

I wish Game Sack covered PC games. Would have loved to see you guys talk about Shogo.

Yeah, it's tough to say anything about quality when Xardion was included on the list. I agree with their opinion of the game.Hobie-wan wrote:I was making no comment on its quality. I was also surprised to see the omission of the big names, even the console-exclusive titles like MechWarrior 3050.
Also, "mech games" covers a pretty huge variety of genres. It would be interesting to see a video that focuses on mech fighting games, mech-based shmups, and so on.

Re: Mech Games! --- Game Sack
Finally! I've been hoping for this episode for a while now.
My favorite mech games? The list is too long to write out. Mech games are one of my favorite things to seek out and collect.
The MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries on PC is probably my nostalgic favorite though. I love the Battletech franchise and especially the MechWarrior branch. I was so bummed when we got MechWarrior online instead of a true MechWarrior 5.
There's loads of other PC classics like the Earthsiege series and the Heavy Gear games.
I've never been huge on the Armored Core games but I enjoyed the original PS1 saga (although Omega Boost is my go-to mech game on the PS1, I even have an action figure of it). Armored Core For Answer for 360 was also pretty fun though the customization really makes my head spin.
I also really love the Assault Suits series (Target Earth, Cybernator) and the games inspired by it (Metal Warriors, Front Mission: Gunhazard, Gigantic Army, Gunhound). I was really happy to see it covered so lovingly in this video.
One mech game I almost never hear people talk about is Data East's Wolf Fang, the sorta-sequel to Vapor Trail. It was only released in the arcade here as Rohga: Armor Force but it made it to home to the PS1 and I think Saturn in Japan. It's a really interesting combination of a horizontal shmup and an Assault Suits game with some cool customization options. One of my favorite games to come out of Data East.

Indeed, it was released as Wolf Fang SS.Gunstar Green wrote: One mech game I almost never hear people talk about is Data East's Wolf Fang, the sorta-sequel to Vapor Trail. And this topic definitely needs more Sierra / Dynamix:
MechWarrior (original MSDOS for Activision, programmed by Dynamix)
Earthsiege 1 & 2
Starsiege
Mission Cyberstorm
Battledrome

You don't even work there anymore, knock it off!
Since most of the good ones have been mentioned, I'll toss this one out. I really like WarTech on the 360. And Chromehounds is interesting too.

Re: Mech Games! --- Game Sack
how the hell did you guys not mention the greatest Mech game ever made Metal Wolf Chaos on the original Xbox? Go watch some gameplay vids and tell me it isn't completely awesome.
