Also, less enemies/annoying mid-stage ship groups. Plus, difficulty overall is much easier based on settings I'm using.

I thought the GEN version bomb was more effective. This bomb on shmupmame is worthless, lasts about literally 1 second and clears just a small areas around you. Not much respite.

I meant to say the Genesis bomb is GREAT -- whole screen compared to the dinky bomb on the arcade -- reminiscent of Sky Shark. If my wording was poor there, my apologies

Difficulty - Normal (not half as difficult as the arcade)

How does the Genesis port compare when it's on hard?

I will give it a spin tonight and report back

Check the OP, we have a voting system going on. Hopefully everything will be set in stone before Feb.

I misread it - I thought we were just going to have developers narrowed by Feb.
FYI - shmups STGT 12' should begin late July.

My 9 -
Toaplan
Raizing
Konami
SNK
Capcom
Taito
Psikyo
Treasure
Success

I would still like to see another CAVE game though :P

I read your post right - my post was prob the confusing one. I was thinking outloud, as in, "Yeah, I thought the GEN bomb was better than this shit."

I'm playing on shmupmame btw.

I'm using MAMEUI32 0.141 (1 "u" version short of the core self-destruct with the slow loading and the memory leaks, etc.) and a Microsoft Sidewinder PnP gamepad.

I tried it on hard and it seems to be the same, but your credits are limited to 3. Easy is the same thing too I think but you have unlimited credits.

Case in point

Explain how I did BETTER on Hard! Plus, it's there for the proof  If what an earlier member said is true about the 2nd loop being arcade-hard and a code to get there, we might need to investigate.

We already got Toaplan though, so you swap them out with another dev on your vote.

Truxton - Genesis - Normal

Best run so far: 152,390

Truxton reminds me a lot of Astro Warrior. Once you die you might as well hit 'reset' because you've lost all your power-ups and there's no going back; unless you're a shooter-god or something.

Would love to have an input as to voting but have no clue what developers did what,so Im here for the learning xp.Unfortunatly sitting out on Truxton thought it would be availble on one of Taito collections.

But Im still in
