That's really too bad, because I seriously wanted this game.
Actually, there is a source that has stated that NTSC Xenoblade localization is complete and that The Last Story is being translated now. Whether or not this is accurate is obviously not confirmed http://oprainfall.blogspot.com/2011/07/ ... story.html

Looks like it is going well so far for that 100,000 Facebook page; yesterday around this time had less than 7,000 and now closing in on 14,000... if the pace stays consistent it could hit the target in a couple weeks or less. Even if you don't think it will help much, it's still a show against Capcom's decisions of late
I bet it tops out under 30K at best...
At the end of the day, Capcom made a smart business decision. Nintendo did the same with their own decision about localizations. A strong sense of entitlement won't change that.
I don't think it's a strong sense of entitlement... I don't feel that it's the companies responsibility to make these games for me if they won't make money. I'm just a fan and would like to see these games exist (or be localized). If there is any slim chance of me being able to do something to help bring these games along then I like to take part in it. The more games the better

Sorry but this has been going on for like two years now. Until Nintendo straight up says YES or NO, I'm not getting my hopes up at all anymore.

Again, what's it hurt? If people join and nothing happens, nothing changes. However if there's a chance it does influence Capcom in some way, then awesome. Don't be a party pooper.

I just don't want folks to get their hope up because they joined some group and then bitch and moan even louder when nothing comes of it.

If people genuinely get their hopes up that the game might get released because some guy made a Facebook page, then they cannot be helped.
The Asura’s Wrath devs? I think they know what they're doing, because that game looks like what the next Devil May Cry SHOULD be.
Anyways I'm sure this is a done deal though and it's over. I don't agree with dsheinem at all about the "being business smart mentality" though, but I'd be lying to myself if I didn't believe that's what modern gaming and this entire generation has been about. Fuck the fans and play it safe to sum it up.

When "the fans" don't significantly boost the bottom line and shareholders get upset, it is a smart move. It has happened time and again to other publishers. Capcom is in the business of making money and have succeeded in doing just that for a long time. They didn't do it by releasing games that only fans would buy.
Remember, they canceled Mega Man Universe too. Obviously this is not the time to pour money and resources into the MM IP.
