Ideally this story will cost them 1000 times more (in lost customers) than them paying the P&P to send you your game.
How much do they make from each transaction anyway?
They have an ingenious plan going. Nominally they make $1.99 off each transaction, but really they make $1.99 plus whatever the game cost, because when you trade your money into "points" that all goes to them. "points" are a made up currency that has no value in the real world, except to other people on goozex who will trade their games to you for this "point" currency. So ultimately Goozex makes all the money.

no the points goes to the person you got the game from.

a single trade token costs the customer $1.99 -- after overhead/blah blah who knows how much they get per trade. But yeah, just think if they had put up $2 in shipping they wouldn't be paying somebody to answer all my emails. I'm just playing it like the Fonze. And you know what the Fonze is like, right? He's cool.
Overhead? You're kidding right? This is a few UMD college students doing this out their basement.

yeah but the points don't go to Goozex. You can BUY points from Goozex, but you don't have to. You get points from sending out a game. Like I never once bought points from Goozex. I earned 400 pts ($20) by sending Mario Mix to the person who requested it. I could then use that 400 pts to "buy" a game from someone else. Not from Goozex. So in that transaction, the only thing Goozex gets is 1 trade token ($1.99).

Okay, that makes sense. Ultimately I do think this company is just a couple of kids either in, or shortly out of college, who think they know about entrepreneurship. They're description where they pat themselves on the back is typical DC bullshit. Experienced Entrepreneurs, engineers, and managers, who experience tremendous growth because of their innovative system of growth is DC code for young adults who learned this stuff in college and now think they know everything. The content of their replies says to me these people do not understand the value of word of mouth, and they're only looking at how much they would lose by shipping the game to you. This tells me that if a sufficient number of people e-mailed them from this forum stating they will not do business with Goozex unless they right your situation, that will make them realize the egregious error they've made. We don't have to bomb, but each of us should send 1 e-mail.
as far as the college graduate shit, I'm quite sure that yr right. That's the impression I get, and actually from what I've read of the company I think it was just that.
as far as bombing their inbox, I don't feel comfortable telling anybody to do such a thing.
EDIT: as far as wasting their money -- yeah $2 vs a bunch of emails and pissed off consumers.
