I read a review that compared the two games and it said Castle Crasher takes 8 hours to complete and Alien Hominid takes 1 hour. Maybe it's just me, but it's just much easier to make a 1 hour game more interesting than an 8 hour one. It is just hard to keep a beat em up (a specific medieval themed beat em up) interesting for so many hours.sevin0seven wrote:yeah, when i beat Castle Crasher with a friend i was like "that's it?"...anyway, your probably better of with Alien Hominid. I have the game in GC and it rocks. I'm not bashing on CC it did have it moments and a fun multiplayer with friends "only".dsheinem wrote:I haven't beat Castle Crashers (I'm part way through, though). Still, I would say that Alien Hominid is a much better game (even if it is more difficult).wakeup wrote:
Anyone tired alien hominid? Was that better than Castle Crasher? Been meaning to try the game because of the cool art style.

GHOSTBUSTERS the Video Game 360
Super Mario Bros. NES
Contra Rebirth WiiWare
Tetris Gameboy
Star Wars Force Unleashed 360
Street Fighter II T.E 360 arcade
Sonic The Hedgehog Genesis
Contra NES
THPS Play Station
Ninja Gaiden NES
Blaster Master Overdrive WiiWare
Batman Returns *new* SNES
Golden Axe *new* GBA
Batman Returns : My friends and I were ranking Tim Burton movies, and I just had the itch to play it again. It remains a great bmup, but man, Catwoman is a bitch of a boss. The only way I can beat the game with out an extra lives code is to pin her in either the top right or left corner, and just keep punching away. The graphics still look bad ass, very true to the movie, and throwing clowns through stop signs, street lights and store windows never gets boring. Plus, missile toting penguins!
Golden Axe: Played the sega classics collection on the GBA on the first night of my wedding anniversary after my wife went to sleep. I still love this game. If you told me when I was a kid that one day I would be able to play Golden Axe, in color, on a portable system, I would have dumped my pants. Almost makes me want a GBA port of Altered Beast.
But, as always, I chose the dwarf. Not sure why they ditched his golden axe though for a silver one.

They put that out on DSiWare? That's awesome! It's a great game and deserves a wider audience than it initially had.alienjesus wrote: Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ DSiWare *new*

Re: Games Beaten: 2010
As far as I know they only put it out on DSiWare in PAL regions. We didn't get the DS version, so its nice that they found a way of getting it to us.
Re: Games Beaten: 2010
I just finished Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ (cart version) on hard mode.
That was certainly a challenging little title. At least on hard mode anyway. My only complaint, other than the lack of a scoring system, is the final boss only available in hard and extreme mode. LoboCop was a lot easier compared to many of the other bosses.
My most hated boss would have to be Mr. Bacon, the third pig. It's not even one of the last bosses, but was for me the hardest to defeat.

Re: Games Beaten: 2010
I personally had more problems with the skull enemies surrounded by flames and the zombies with body armour than any of the bosses
Re: Games Beaten: 2010
The Skull Enemies can be taken out with either the shot gun or a blow up an oil canister. The body armor zombies should be shot from the side or else the bullets just bounce off (the opposite of the clown zombie which must be shot head on).
