I wonder if the arrows still work as a regular dance pad or if it just sensors inside?
Thanks for that info. It's interesting it made a "10 most obscure gaming peripherals" list. it looks like it doesn't have the 4 sensors :( I am going to go back to the thrift store first thing tomorrow and look at the shelf and floor where it was and see if the may have fell out. There was a little kid playing with it and the bottom of the box was coming undone. His mom told him to put it back and I snagged it up. it is a little surprising that they aren't in it though because other than the box being a little beat up everything inside looks brand new. The cord that plugs into the controller port hasn't even been taken out of the package and the mat was still in plastic with tissue paper.

The box says it is compatible with ps1 and ps2 fighting and boxing games. I'm not sure if it can double as a dance pad for the dancing games also. If i happen to luck out and find the sensors tomorrow I will check its compatibility with various games.
Good luck, hope you find the sensors back at the Thrift store, should be four of them. I would tear that store apart, might be misplaced as toys and buried in the kids section. I think the arrows on the pad function as a DPad when stepped on so any non analog game including Dance games should work.

Now that I think about it, movement type games will be harder to do with the pad versus a regular controller, but any reaction style game with the face buttons just might work. I'm thinking the Quick Time Events such as in PS2 God Of War or Dreamcast Shenmue following the Triangle, Circle, X or Square prompts on the screen. There must be games that are strictly reactive style that could work with this. The trick is how accurate will the action buttons be with the sensors?

 No luck. It's a smaller store and I checked it thoroughly. I'm disappointed, I was looking forward to trying it out on some Tekken today :(

Oh crap. Ah well, maybe it will still work as a Dance Pad. A little awkward with the Arrow up at the center spot. Look at it this way, if you ever find another on, you have a pristine backup pad.

Can you confirm the arrows emulate a DPad by running a fighting game? You should be able to at least move the fighter around by stomping on the pad.

HP Serial Port Printer 832c - $10.00 Thrift Store
Speaking of incomplete, I got a deal on this older printer. It was listed at thirty five bucks which is way too pricey for a used printer. I have been holding off buying this having seen it sitting for the past month until the Thrift store had a half off sale going on. Got an additional discount since there is no power supply. So why buy an old serial port printer when I already have a similar HP 722c?

1. Serial Port. 100% compatibility to all the operating systems I use including DOS 6.22.

2. Inside are color and black ink carts. Even if only one cart has ink, the used printer is cheaper then buying replacement ink. The 832c is compatible to my 722c which prints very well on regular paper. Turns out the black cart is still good, the color is out of yellow. No big deal, it can be refilled with my 722c Inkjet refill kit.

3. All my Jewel and DVD case covers and custom labels are set to the HP 722c. A newer printer should give the same sized printout, but maybe not on my custom labels. Took five tries to get a GBA label to just the right size. Good to have a margin matched backup.

4. A non-detecting ink serial code printer. Unlike newer printers that detect coding in an ink cart, this printer can take the same refilled ink cart over and over again. Some newer printers remember ink cart serial coding which kills the refills.

I already knew my 722c power supply would work on the 832c. The PC recognized the Serial printer and automatically added it, no additional driver install needed. I think it used the 722c driver, both are listed so I made the 832c the primary. I like this series for the front loading and return and does not take a big footprint. The newer printer works great, is faster then the 722c and has a purty blue top.

I mentioned the printer is used to print out GBA labels so it does support the medium. Instead of the fire, enjoy or ignore the post and CONTRIBUTE your find.

There is a non-gaming find thread.

I don't know that we need to set a precedent for anything even tangentially related to games.
Got a great deal on Cheetos at Wal-Mart today! Maybe take a look at this awesome pic!

You know, I dont know what your problem is with being so negative but whatever has triggered this side of you in your life I wish you would get past it. I have seen so many negative or flaming comments on here from you that I can hardly stand when I see your avatar. Whatever hard-on you have for certain people has gone to the extreme and a "current mod" should be decent enough to step in and ask you to refrain from making comments that are either negative or just downright nasty. It is time for you to be a big boy and grow up and quit trying to tear down others.

If that's seen as "tearing down" or negative I sincerely apologize, I genuinely think of it as simply some light-hearted correction from a fellow community member and less "whiny" in tone than something like Hazerd's approach. I don't think that the mods should be the only ones to point out problems, and indeed this community has always been largely self-policed.

In any case, sorry that my avatar makes you cringe these days, but I haven't really changed my posting habits at all.
